Abstract
Se divulga una carcasa para baterías para una batería de motor de tracción de un vehículo que incluye una pluralidad de piezas alargadas de polímero reforzado con fibra de carbono para absorción de impactos fijadas a las paredes del recinto. Las piezas de absorción de impactos pueden ser piezas corrugadas que tienen cuñas y surcos conectados por una superficie de rampas que definen espacios trapezoidales con relación a los laterales del recinto. Las cuñas están diseñadas para deformarse dentro del espacio trapezoidal ante un impacto para absorber fuerzas de impacto y proteger la batería. Las piezas de absorción de impactos pueden retenerse por las guías con forma de T en la superficie exterior de las paredes del recinto o pueden fijarse de manera adherente a los laterales del recinto.
