Abstract

La invención se refiere a una herramienta de simulación asistida por computadora, en particular a métodos de simulación asistidos por computadora en la planeación de termoterapia, y a equipo de computadora adecuadamente configurado. La termoterapia comprende el tratamiento de hipertermia de un volumen tumoral dentro de un volumen del cuerpo humano. El tratamiento de hipertermia comprende la aplicación de un campo magnético dentro de un volumen de tratamiento por medio de un aplicador de campo magnético. En al menos un volumen de depósito, puede introducirse la energía térmica por medio de nanopartículas magnéticas, paramagnéticas y/o superparamagnéticas depositadas en el cuerpo, mediante absorción de energía en el campo magnético aplicado. Los valores de la fuerza de campo y opcionalmente las distribuciones de temperatura calculadas son provistas para ayudar al usuario en la planeación de la termoterapia.
