Abstract
La invención se refiere a un procedimiento y a una instalación para generar ácido sulfúrico. En primer lugar se prepara una corriente de gas producto (5) que contiene dióxido de azufre. La corriente de gas producto (5) se suministra a un espacio de reacción (1). En el espacio de reacción (1) se encuentra un catalizador (3). En éste transcurre una reacción de dióxido de azufre para dar trióxido de azufre. En partes de la instalación adicionales se convierte el trióxido de azufre producido en ácido sulfúrico. Según la invención se suministra al espacio de reacción (1) en alternancia con respecto a la corriente de gas producto (5) una corriente de gas de oxidación (6).
