Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un método para la detección cuantitativa de una proteína objetivo en una muestra, en la cual los iones de fragmento de segunda generación se detectan para proporcionar una serie de mediciones cuantitativas, por lo menos una de las cuales se correlaciona con la cantidad de péptido proteotípico generada y con la cantidad de proteína objetivo en la muestra, en donde el ion de fragmento de primera generación seleccionado que tiene una masa (m/z)2 es un péptido doblemente cargado que tiene una prolina y/o una histidina en la posición 1.
