La presente invención se relaciona con el compuesto de la fórmula (I) en donde R1 es metilo, etilo o vinilo; el enlace entre C-3' y C-4' es un enlace simple o la línea punteada junto con el enlace entre C-3' y C-4' representa un enlace doble; y la cadena lateral -CR1OH está en la posición 1' ó 4' del anillo. La invención además se relaciona con su preparación y con las aplicaciones de fragancia que las comprenden.
