Abstract
Se divulga un aparato para la reducción de NOX de baja temperatura, que es útil en instalaciones de caldera usadas en plantas de generación eléctrica. El aparato emplea uno o una pluralidad de reactores de lecho móvil en donde un leco móvil de catalizador de metal base común se utiliza para la reducción catalítica selectiva de NOX presente en el gas de chimenea. El lecho móvil permite la introducción continua de catalizador fresco o regenerado, evitando de esta manera los problemas convencionales del envenenamiento con azufre y la reducción consecuente en la actividad catalítica con tales catalizadores. Debido a las energías de activación inferiores de tales catalizadores, un SCR que utiliza los reactores de lecho móvil divulgados en la presente se puede ubicar corriente abajo del calentador de aire, mejorando además la eficiencia de generación eléctrica. También se divulgan métodos para la reducción de NOX de baja temperatura.
