Abstract
La invención se refiere a reactores mejorados para reacciones exotérmicas catalíticas en fase gaseosa, que tienen una zona de entrada (1), una zona de reacción (2) que comprende por lo menos un catalizador (4), y una zona de salida (3) para el gas producto, observadas en la dirección del flujo de un gas reactivo; los reactores tienen medios en la zona de entrada (1), o la zona de entrada (1) y la zona de reacción (2), tales como camisas aislantes (6), y/o dispositivos para transportar un enfriador, que reducen el transporte de calor de la zona de reacción (2) a la zona de entrada (1), y de esta manera los riesgos de preignición de la mezcla usada de gas de reactivo o la activación de reacciones secundarias no deseadas en la zona de entrada (1); y/o las paredes internas del reactor en la zona de entrada (1) o en la zona de entrada (1) y la zona de reacción (2), están hechas de un material inerte; los reactores se pueden usar en particular para la oxidación de amoniaco, tal como en sistemas de producción de ácido nítrico, en donde se usan preferiblemente catalizadores de metal de transición en forma de panal que tienen secciones transversales más pequeñas que las mallas de platino usadas típicamente.
