Abstract
La invención se refiere a reactores mejorados para reacciones catalíticas, exotérmicas en fase gaseosa que tienen una zona de entrada (1), una zona de reacción (2) que comprende al menos un catalizador (4) y una zona de salida (3) para el gas de producto, observado en la dirección de flujo de un gas reactivo que comprende al menos un agente de oxidación y al menos un componente a ser oxidado; los reactores tienen medios, tales como chaquetas de aislamiento (6) y/o dispositivos para transportar refrigerante, al menos en la región de la zona de entrada (1), en donde dichos refrigerantes reducen el transporte de calor generado en la zona de reacción (2) en la zona de entrada (1) y de este modo reducen los riesgos de ignición avanzada de la mezcla de gas reactivo usada o el desarrollo de reacciones secundarias indeseadas en la zona de entrada (1) y/o en donde las paredes internas del reactor se diseñan de material inerte, al menos en la región de la zona de entrada (1); el gas de reactivo entra a la zona de entrada (1) como una mezcla de gas homogénea, con respecto a la composición material de la misma, vía una o más líneas de suministro (30); los reactores se pueden usar particularmente para oxidación de amoniaco, tal como en sistemas de ácido nítrico, en donde los catalizadores de metal de transición tipo panal preferiblemente teniendo pequeñas secciones transversales se usan como las redes de platino que se emplean convencionalmente.
