Abstract
Se describe un método y un programa de cómputo para determinar un factor de error para un sistema de posicionamiento global diferencial así como un método de rastreo de un vehículo. Al determinar el factor de error, los datos de la posición estimada se transmiten desde un GPS por medio de GPRS a un servidor. Ya que las señales GPS se transmiten desde un vehículo que viaja a lo largo de una ruta conocida, es decir, un camino o vía de tren, los datos se pueden hacer coincidir con la ruta y calcular un factor de corrección. El factor de error luego se transmite a los dispositivos GPS diferenciales. Para el rastreo de vehículos, un sistema de posicionamiento global envía, por medio de GPRS, datos en intervalos regulares que se refieren solamente a su posición.
