Abstract
El método comprende las etapas de empujar al modelo (10) a lo largo de una dirección axial (X) entre una herramienta de doblado móvil (16) y una contra-herramienta estacionaria (12) y, mientras que el modelo (10) se está moviendo hacia adelante, la herramienta de doblado (16) se mueve desde una posición neutra, en la cual no se dobla el modelo (10), a una posición de trabajo, en la cual se dobla el modelo (10) al radio de línea central de doblez deseado, la posición de trabajo se hace gira con respecto a la posición neutral por un ángulo de rotación dado (a) dependiendo del radio de línea central de doblado deseado; de acuerdo con la invención, el método comprende además la etapa de empujar al modelo (10) entre un par de zapatas (20, 22) corriente arriba de la herramienta de doblado (16) para hacer más fácil la deformación del modelo (10), y la etapa de mover la herramienta de doblado (16) desde la posición neutra a la posición de trabajo se realiza al controlar por lo menos dos grados de libertad del movimiento de la herramienta de doblado (16) en el plano (XY) definido por la dirección axial (X) y por una dirección transversal (Y) perpendicular a la dirección axial (X); por virtud de la deformación inicial de la compresión axial y radial del modelo (10) debido al paso entre las zapatas (20, 22), se hace más fácil la siguiente etapa de doblado por la herramienta de doblado (16) y permite obtener radios de línea central de doblado significativamente menores que los más pequeños que se obtienen con los métodos tradicionales de doblado de radio variable.
