Abstract

Proceso continuo para preparar ésteres alfa - hidroxicarboxílicos, en el que los reactivos sometidos a reacción son alfa - hidroxicarboxamida con un alcohol en la presencia de un catalizador para obtener una mezcla de productos que incluye éster alfa - hidroxicarboxílico, amoniaco, alfa - hidroxicarboxamida no convertida y alcohol, y un catalizador; en el cual las corrientes del reactivo incluyen, como reactivos, una hidroxicarboxamida, un alcohol y un catalizador que se alimentan dentro de un reactor de presión; las corrientes del reactivo se someten a reacción entre sí en el reactor de presión a una presión en el rango de 1 bar a 100 bar; y la mezcla de productos se reduce en alcohol y amoniaco destilando el amoniaco a una presión que se mantiene de manera c9nstante mayor a 1 bar sin la ayuda de medios de desprendimiento adicionales. El proceso continuo puede emplearse de manera particular en forma provechosa a escala industrial.
