Abstract
Se expone un procedimiento de preparar microesferas de liberación sostenida, que tienen un polímero biodegradable como portador y fármaco, usando secado por aspersión; el procedimiento comprende preparar una solución, suspensión o emulsión que contiene un polímero biodegradable, un fármaco y un solvente, secar por dispersión la solución, suspensión o emulsión, y suspender las microesferas secadas por aspersión en una solución acuosa que contiene alcohol polivinílico para remover el solvente residual y aumentar la capacidad hidrófila de la superficie microesférica; el procedimiento hace posible la preparación de microesferas que tienen alta eficiencia de encapsulación de fármaco, no teniendo casi problema de toxicidad debido al solvente residual y teniendo buena capacidad de inyección; las microesferas preparadas de acuerdo con la presente invención liberan una concentración efectiva de un fármaco de manera sostenida durante un período predeterminado, cuando se administran al cuerpo y son útiles por lo tanto en el tratamiento de enfermedades.
