Abstract
La invención se refiere a un descargador de sobretensión que tiene un diseño de jaula, y a un método para su fabricación. De acuerdo con la invención, durante el recubrimiento por extrusión o encapsulamiento de un modulo que comprende dos adaptadores terminales (3) y una pluralidad de bloques de varistores (1) y al menos un elemento de refuerzo (9) para formar el alojamiento externo (5), primer orificio pasante (11) para el elemento de refuerzo (9) del mismo que son sellados con silicona. Para este fin, los segundos orificios pasantes (15) se proporcionan en los adaptadores terminales (3), a través de los cuales corre la silicona durante el moldeo o pulverización, y entra en los orificios pasantes (11) desde el exterior, para de este modo sellarlos contra el agua o humedad.
