Abstract
La presente invención se refiere en general a baterías de ion de litio. De una manera más específica, se refiere a baterías de ion de litio que proporcionan una rápida recarga, más larga vida de la batería, y operación inherentemente segura. En un aspecto de la batería, la presente invención proporciona una batería que incluye los siguientes elementos: un ánodo que comprende Li4Ti5O12 nano-cristalino que tiene un área superficial BET de cuando menos 10 m2/gramo; un cátodo que comprende un espinel de LiMn2O4 nano-cristalino que tiene un área superficial BET de cuando menos 5 m2/gramo. La batería tiene un índice de carga de cuando menos 10C.
