Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para la cloración de sacarosa o un derivado de la misma, en la cual la sacarosa o el derivado de la misma se hace reaccionar con cloruro de tionilo y una base de nitrógeno a una relación de aproximadamente 1 equivalente molar de cloruro de tionilo y aproximadamente 1 equivalente molar de base por cada equivalente molar de hidroxilo libre, en un solvente no reactivo, moderadamente polar.
