Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a una composición revestidora protectora que incluye un biocida para organismos marinos de una solución o dispersión de un polímero aglutinante que constituye un polímero funcional como ácido o bien un polímero hidrolizable a un polímero funcional como ácido, caracterizado porque la composición contiene una solución de un compuesto de un catión polivalente o de un precursor de tal compeusto con una proporción molar de cationes polivalentes en el compuesto a grupos ácido y/o grupos hidrolizables a grupos ácido dentro del polímero mencionado de 1:4 a 1:100, reaccionándose cuando menos parcialmente el polímero y el compuesto en una reacción entrelazadora para formar una composición no gelificada o que es capaz de experimentar una reacción entrelazadora cuando se recubre la composición en una superficie, siendo la reacción entrelazadora una reacción en la cual el catión polivalente forma entrelazamientos entre los grupos ácidos sobre diferentes moleculas del polímero.
