Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a procedimiento para la preparación de un hidroxialquil-1 nitroimidazol, caracterizado en que se hace reaccionar un ácido fuerte en presencia del sulfito o del diacetato de un alquilendiol puede estar substituído por un radical metilo, sobre un derivado del imidazol, la parte alcohílo contiene de 1 a 4 átomos de carbono o aciloximetilo donde la parte acilo contiene de 1 a 4 átomos de carbono en cadena recta o ramificada o un radical etilenico alílico o un radical arilmetilo, a una temperatura comprendida entre 80 y 140 grados C, despues se hidroliza o alcoholiza el producto de condensación obtenido y se aisla el hidroxialquil-1 nitroimidazol.
