Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a mejoras a línea de telecomunicación submarina que comprende fibras ópticas, la cual comprende por lo menos un repetidor opto-electrónico de señales transmitidas y por lo menos dos cables submarinos de fibras ópticas entre los cuales dicho repetidor está interpuesto y conectado, el repetidor opto-electrónico siendo del tipo provisto con una cubierta estrecha mecánicamente resistente a cualesquier esfuerzo impartido a ésta durante la colocación de la línea, la línea eatando caracterizada por el hecho de que por lo menos uno de los dos cables submarinos es del tipo en el cual la armadura mecánicamente resistente es una cuerda la cual ocupa su parte radialmente más interna, y por el hecho de que la conexión entre el repetidor opto-electrónico y el cable submarino de dicho tipo comprende un cuerpo tubular mecánicamente resistente el cual sostiene, integrada a sí mismo y situada transversalmente en su propia cavidad, una división mecánicamente resistente, provista con aberturas continuas para el paso de las fibras ópticas, a la cual está sujeta la cuerda constituyendo la armadura de cable, dicho cuerpo tubular tiene un extremo provisto con elementos para su anclaje mecánico a la cubierta repetidora y el otro extremo aplicado apretadamente a la vaina del cable, los medios de sellamiento hidráulicos estando albergados en dicho cuerpo tubular mecánicamente resistente.
