Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a mejoras a línea submarina de telecomunicaciones de fibras ópticas, que comprende un repetidor optoelectrónico, para las señales transmitidas, insertada entre dos cables de fibras ópticas, cada uno provisto de un forro a prueba de agua, del tipo en que el blindaje resistente mecánicamente es una soga que ocupa la posición radialmente más interior del cable, caracterizándose la línea por el hecho de que el repetidor optoelectrónico comprende una caja que es substancialmente tubular, y los cuerpos cilíndricos hechos de material polimérico, están provistos en su exterior con un forro metálico que cierra selladamente las aberturas en las bases de la caja, englobando los cuerpos cilíndricos tramos de fibras ópticas para conectar con los de los cables y con los de los repetidores, y un primer tramo de soga que tiene un extremo fijo a la soga de cable y el otro extremo sólido con la caja, encerrando ésta una caja a prueba de agua que contiene las partes componentes del repetidor optoelectrónico, estando los forros metálicos de los cuerpos cilíndricos, conectados a prueba de agua, a los forros de los cables.
