Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a mejoras a cable de telecomunicaciones de fibras ópticas submarino que comprende una armadura mecánicamente resistente, una vaina que alberga una pluralidad de fibras ópticas y conductores para alimentar los repartidores opto-electrónicos de las señales transmitidas por estos últimos, caracterizado por el hecho de que la armadura mecánicamente resistente es una cuerda antitorsional compacta que tiene los espacios entre los alambres componentes llenos con un fluido prácticamente incomprimible colocado en la zona más interna radialmente del cable, porque una pluralidad de conductores y una pluralidad de tubos llenados con un fluido incomprimible y albergando en forma suelta por lo menos una fibra óptica, están enrollados helicoidalmente alrededor de la cuerda, por lo menos un conductor eléctrico está interpuesto entre los pares de tubos adyacentes y porque una capa de material plástico cubre el complejo de tubos-conductores englobándolos en correspondencia a su propia superficie más interna radialmente, con los espacios entre el complejo de tubos-conductores y la cuerda, que no están ocupados por el material plástico, estando llenos con un fluido incomprimible.
