Abstract

Cable submarino de fibras ópticas para telecomunicaciones, que comprende una armadura mecánicamente resistente, una funda que encierra una pluralidad de fibras ópticas y conductores para la alimentación de los repetidores optoelectrónicos de las señales transmitidas por las fibras ópticas, caracterizado por el hecho de que la armadura mecánicamente resistente es un cordón antitorsional compacto con los espacios de entre sus hilos o alambres componentes llenos de un fluido prácticamente incomprimible, y está emplazada en la zona radialmente más interna del cable, porque una pluralidad de conductores y una pluralidad de tubitos llenos de fluido incomprimible y que alojan flojas al menos una fibra óptica, se hallan envueltos helicoidalmente alrededor del cordón, estando interpuesto por lo menos un conductor eléctrico entre pares de tubitos adyacentes y porque un estrato de material plástico recubre el complejo de tubitos y conductores englobándolos en correspondencia de su superficie radialmente más interna, estando los espacios de entre el complejo tubitos-conductores y el cordón no ocupados por el material plástico, llenados con un fluido incomprimible.
