Abstract
L'invention concerne les câbles à fibres optiques. Un câble sous-marin à répéteurs, 10, possède un conducteur intérieur composite destiné à recevoir des fibres optiques. Les pièces qui confèrent au câble sa résistance mécanique comprennent un élément central 12 et plusieurs couches de fils d'acier toronnés 16 qui sont séparés de l'élément central par une pièce annulaire isolante centrale 13 dans laquelle sont noyées les fibres optiques. Une gaine métallique 17 empêche la pénétration de l'humidité jusqu'aux fibres. Application aux télécommunications par câbles sous-marins.
