Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a procedimiento para tratar material celulosico fibroso, caracterizado porque comprende: impregnar material celulosico fibroso con una solución de tratamiento que contiene un ácido policarboxilico y un catalizador de curación seleccionándose el ácido policarboxílico del grupo que consiste de ácidos alifáticos alicíclicos y aromáticos saturados o insaturados olefinílicamente, y que tienen cuando menos tres grupos carboxilo por molécula, ácidos alifáticos y que tienen una doble ligadura de carbono a carbono, situada alfa, beta con respecto a uno o ambos grupos carboxilo, ácido alifaticos olefinicamente saturados o insaturados y que tienen por lo menos tres grupos carboxilo por molécula y un grupo hidroxido presente en un átomo de carbono unido a uno de los grupos carboxilo de la molécula y los ácidos alifáticos y aliciclicos en donde el ácido contiene un átomo de oxigeno o azufre en la cadena o en el anillo al que están unidos los grupos carboxilos, estando separado un grupo carboxilo y un segundo grupo carboxilo por dos o tres átomos de carbono en los ácidos alfáticos y alicíclicos siendo un grupo carboxilo otro con respecto a un segundo grupo carboxilo en los ácidos aromáticos, y un grupo carboxilo está en configuración cis con respecto a un segundo carboxilo, en donde dos grupos carboxilos están separados por una doble ligadura de carbono a carbono, o ambos están conectados al mismo anillo seleccionandose el catalizador depuración del grupo que consiste de hipofosfitos de metal alcalino, fosfitos de metal alcalino y polifosfatos de metal alcalino y calentar el material para producir la eterificación y el entrelazamiento de la celulosa con el acido policarboxilico en el material.
