Abstract
La presente invención se refiere a un método para inyectar gas dentro de una masa fundida a temperatura elevada, por medio de un pasaje a través de la pared de un recipiente que contiene la masa fundida, este pasaje tiene inicialmente un tapón desalojable que cierra su extremo interno, este método se caracteriza porque comprende las etapas de: (a) desde el exterior del recipiente, insertar un tubo de entrega dentro del pasaje y disponer un extremo interno del tubo adyacente al tapón, este tubo siendo menor transversalmente que el pasaje, por una cantidad predeterminada; (b) enfriar el tubo y el pasaje en la vecindad del tapón,pasando gas a lo largo del tubo y dejando escapar el gas al exterior del recipiente; (c) inmediatamente antes de inyectar el gas dentro de la masa fundida, establecer una presión y un régimen de flujo del gas en el tubo de magnitudes suficientes para que, en la inyección, la velocidad del gas que deja el tubo sea suficientemente grande para asegurar que el gas entre en la masa fundida como un chorro en lugar de en forma de burbujas; (d) impulsar forzadamente el tubo en el tapón, desalojando este tapón de la masa fundida y comenzando así la inyección del gas dentro de dicha masa fundida; (e) mantener substancialmente sin disminuir la presión y el régimen de flujo del gas, durante la inyección consecuente; y (f) cuando se juzga que se ha completado la inyección, reducir la presión/régimen de flujo del gas y permitir que la masa fundida entre y solidifique dentro del tubo, por lo cual cierra éste, la cantidad por la cual el tubo es menor que el pasaje, proporciona un espacio entre ellos, suficientemente grande para que la masa fundida se introduzca por una distancia limitada, antes de solidificar, tan pronto como el tapón es desalojado.
