Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un proceso para formar una imagen fotográfica negativa de alto contraste mediante el revelado de un elemento fotográfico de haluro de plata, que incluye por lo menos una capa de emulsión de haluro de plata tipo imagen latente de superficie, de acción negativa, con una solución reveladora alcalina acuosa que contiene un agente de dihidroxibenceno, un agente revelador superaditivo y un antioxidante con un pH inferior a 12 en la presencia de un compuesto de hidracina, en que por lo menos una capa de dicho elemento fotográfico de haluro de plata comprende, antes de ponerse en contacto con dicha solución reveladora, una cantidad útil promotora de contraste de un agente promotor de contraste.
