Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un procedimiento para preparar un copolímero de bloque mediante el modo en secuencia de copolimerización de caracterizado porque consiste de: polimerizar bajo condiciones de polimerización de solución, por lo menos un monómero monovinilaromático que contiene de 8 a 12 átomos de carbono y por lo menos un monómero de dieno conjugado que contiene de 4 a 6 átomos de carbono, en una relación de aproximadamente 55 por ciento a 95 por ciento en peso del monómero monovinilaromático y de 45 por ciento a 5 por ciento en peso del monómero de dieno conjugado, mediante un procedimiento de polimerización de carga en secuencia, en donde por lo menos dos cargas separadas que consiste del monómero monovinilaromático y un iniciador de metal organomonoalcalino preceden una carga separada del monómero de dieno conjugado seguido por la carga adicional separada del monómero monovinilaromático y el iniciador antes de las cargas individuales consecutivas del dieno conjugado y de los monómeros monovinilaromáticos; cada carga monomérica se polimeriza hasta completarse esencialmente antes de la adición de cualquier carga subsecuente. en donde procedimiento de polimerización de carga en secuencia emplea una secuencia de carga de 6 etapas: Etapa 1: (Si); Etapa 2: (Si); Etapa 3: (B); Etapa 4: (Si); Etapa 5: (B); Etapa 6: (S) en donde (Si) representa el iniciador y el monómero monovinilaromático, (B) representa el monómero e dieno conjugado y (S) representa el monómero monovinilaromático, produciendo de esta manera los copolímeros de bloque lineales transparentes de poco color polimodales, resistentes al agrietamiento con bloques resinosos terminales.
