Abstract

La presente invención se refiere a un conjunto de freno de disco para aplicar una fuerza de frenado a un disco rotatorio que tiene un eje de rotación y una superficie de fricción interior y otra exterior, este conjunto de freno de disco comprende: un miembro estacionario rígido al interior del disco que tiene dos brazos que reciben momento de torsión circunferencialmente espaciados que se extienden axialmente encima y a través de la periferia del disco rotatorio; miembros de espiga primero y segundo liberables y rígidamente fijados al miembro estacionario y que se extienden paralelos al eje; un calibrador que tiene una pata interior y una pata exterior, este calibrador estando sostenido en una posición operativa sobre los miembros de espiga, para movimiento de deslizamiento limitado sobre los mismos; un conjunto de zapata de freno interior que incluye una placa de respaldo interior y una almohadilla de fricción asegurada a la misma, esta placa de respaldo interior, estando soportada sobre los brazos que reciben el momento de torsión, sobre el lado interior del disco, para movimiento de deslizamiento axial, de tal manera que el momento de torsión de frenado, se transfiere a los brazos de momento de torsión mencionados; un conjunto de zapata de freno exterior que incluye una placa de respaldo exterior, una almohadilla de fricción asegurada a uno de sus lados y elementos que retienen al calibrador radial movible entre una primera posición en la cual esos elementos son operables y una segunda posición en la cual esos elementos son inoperables para acoplar un tope sobre el calibrador y para restringir el movimiento radialmente hacia afuera del calibrador cuando este está sostenido sobre los miembros de espiga, la placa de respaldo exterior, está sostenida sobre los brazos que reciben el momento de torsión, sobre el lado exterior del disco, para movimiento de deslizamiento axial, de manera que, el momento de torsión de frenado, es transferido a los brazos del momento de torsión; elemento de accionamiento de freno montado sobre el calibrador para aplicar una fuerza axial a la placa de respaldo interior, para empujar la almohadilla de fricción interior a acoplamiento friccional con el disco, con lo cual se causa el movimiento axial del calibrador, de manera que la pata exterior del calibrador empuja la almohadilla de fricción exterior, a acoplamiento con el disco; en donde, cuando se libera la segunda espiga del miembro estacionario rígido y los elementos de retención del calibrador radial, están en la segunda posición, el calibrador queda libre para rotar alrededor de la primera espiga, desde la posición operativa hasta una posición de mantenimiento, y en donde, cuando el calibrador está en la posición de mantenimiento, este no interfiere con la remoción del conjunto de zapata de freno interior y el conjunto de zapata de freno exterior de los brazos que reciben el momento de torsión.
