Abstract
L'invention concerne un système de détection de dommages sur une surface en verre, en particulier des panneaux de vitrage de véhicule tels que des pare-brise de véhicule. Le système utilise une unité de détection disposée à proximité de la surface et un processeur en communication avec l'unité de détection. Le processeur est configuré pour analyser des données reçues de la part de l'unité de détection afin de déterminer l'intégrité de la surface et une unité de communication est configurée pour délivrer en sortie un signal en réponse à la détermination par le processeur de dommages sur la surface. Pour un vitrage de véhicule, le système est de préférence intégré dans les systèmes de gestion et de commande de véhicule de telle sorte que le système est actif lorsque le véhicule est actif ou en mouvement. Le système de gestion et/ou de commande peut surveiller des cas ou des situations où se produisent des changements, tels qu'un passage au-dessus d'un seuil, en vue de produire un signal d'avertissement de sortie.
