Abstract

본 발명은 차량 항법 시스템(Car Navigation System)에 있어서, 듀얼 프로세서(Dual Processor)를 이용하는 컴퓨터의 내비게이션 컨트롤러에 관한 것이며, 보다 상세히는 CD-롬의 지도 데이터를 부 프로세서가 미리 읽어둠으로서 주 프로세서의 처리 속도를 향상시키는 내비게이션 컨트롤러에 관한 것이다.
상기 내비게이션 컨트롤러는 CD-롬 드라이버(19)에 연결되는 부프로세서(16)와, 지도를 화면(13)에 디스플레이하는 주 프로세서(11)와, 상기 주 프로세서(11)에서 처리중인 지도의 주변 지도를 읽어 임시로 저장하는 공용 램(14)로 구성된다.
이것에 의해, CD-롬의 지도 데이터를 부 프로세서가 미리 읽어둠으로서 주 프로세서의 처리 속도를 향상시킨다. 따라서 시스템의 전반적인 성능이 향상되는 효과가 있다.

Claims (1)

  1. CD-롬 드라이버(19)에 연결되는 부 프로세서(16)와, 지도를 화면(13)에 디스플레이하는 주 프로세서(11)와, 상기 주 프로세서(11)에서 처리중인 레벨지도의 주변 지도를 읽어 임시로 저장하는 공용 램(14)로 구성되는 것을 특징으로 하는 내비게이션 컨트롤러.
