Abstract

본 발명은 레이저 모듈(41)의 레이저 광원(42)으로부터의 출사광을 편광 홀로그램(51)을 거쳐 가동 유닛의 2분할 선광판(52)에 조사한다. 상기 2분할 선광판(52)은 광축을 중심으로 하여 광학 디스크(33)의 직경 방향에 따른 분할선으로 2 분할된 우측 선광판(52R)과 좌측 선광판(52L)으로 구성되고, 상기 레이저 광원(42)으로부터의 출사광을 우측 선광판(52R)과 좌측 선광판(52)에서 소정 각도 만큼 선광시킨다. 상기 2 분할 선광판(52)은 상기 편광 홀로그램(51)과 대물렌즈(53)간에 배치되어 있고, 상기 2분할 선광판(52)에 의해 선광된 출사광은 상기 대물렌즈(53)을 거쳐 광학 디스크(33)에 조사된다. 그리고 상기 광학 디스크(33)로부터의 반사광은, 상기 대물렌즈(53)를 거쳐 상기 2 분할 선광판(52)에 인도되어 상기 우측 선광판(52R)과 좌측 선광판(52)에서 소정각도만큼 또한 선광된다. 상기 편광 홀로그램(51)은 상기 2분할 선광판(52)에 의해 선광된 상기 광학 디스크(33)로부터의 출사광을 그 편광 방향에 따른 광로를 구부리어 출사한다. 상기 편광 홀로그램(51)을 거쳐 입사되는 상기 광학 디스크(33)로부터의 반사광을 수광하는 각 포토디렉터(44∼48)에 의한 검출 신호에 의거하여 포커스 에러 신호 FE나 광자기 신호 MO 등을 얻는다.

Claims (10)

  1. 레이저 광을 출사하는 레이저 광원과, 상기 레이저 광원으로부터의 출사광을 광학 디스크에 조사하는 대물렌즈와, 상기 레이저 광원과 대물렌즈의 사이에 배치되며, 광축을 중심을 하여 상기 광학 디스크의 직경 방향을 따른 분할선으로 2 분할된 우측 선광판과 좌측 선광판으로 이루어진 선광 수단과, 상기 레이저 광원과 상기 선광 수단의 사이에 배치되어, 상기 레이저 광원으로부터의 출사광은 광로를 구부리지 않고 그대로 투과시키며, 광학 디스크에 조사된 출사광의 반사광은 편광 방향을 따라 광로를 구부려 출사하는 편광 홀로그램과, 상기 편광 홀로그램을 거쳐 입사되는 상기 광학 디스크로부터의 반사광을 수광해, 그 수광 광량에 따른 신호 레벨의 검출 신호를 출력하는 수광 수단을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광픽업 장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 수광 수단은 선광 수단을 통과한 상기 광학 디스크로 부터의 반사광의 상기 편광 홀로그램에 의한 0 차 회절 성분과 +1 차 회절 성분과 -1 차 회절 성분을 각각 수광하는 적어도 3개의 포토디텍터를 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 광픽업 장치.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 수광 수단은 +1 차 회절 성분을 수광하는 포토디텍터와 -1차 회절 성분을 수광하는 프로디텍터를 구비하고, 상기 각 프토디텍터가 각각 상기 광학 디스크의 직경 방향에 따른 분할선으로 적어도 2분할된 다수의 수광 영역을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 광픽업 장치.
  4. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 수광 수단은 상기 적어도 3개의 포토디텍터 중 반사광의 0차 회절 성분을 수광하는 포토디텍터가 져스트 포커스 상태일 때, 상기 적어도 3개의 포토디텍터 중 +1차 회절 성분을 수광하는 포토디텍터와 상기 적어도 3개의 포토디텍터 중 -1차 회절 성분을 수광하는 포토디텍터의 수광광량이 서로 같은 상태로 되도록 각 포토디텍터를 설치하여 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 광픽업 장치.
  5. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 편광 홀로그램은 전영역에 걸쳐 균일한 격자 간격의 회절 격자형상의 평면 홀로그램이 형성되어 있고, 상기 수광 수단은 상기 적어도 3개의 포토디텍터 중 반사광의 0차 회절 성분을 수광하는 포토디텍터에 대해 광축 방향의 전후에 소정 간격이 어긋나서, 상기 적어도 3개의 포토디텍터 중 +1차 회절 성분을 수광하는 포토디텍터와 -1차 회절 성분을 수광하는 포토디텍터를 설치하여 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 광픽업 장치.
  6. 제4항에 있어서, 상기 편광 홀로그램은 곡율을 갖는 회절 격자 형상의 평면 홀로그램으로 구성됨으로써 +1차 회절광 성분에 대한 초점과 -1차 회절광 성분에 대한 초점을 다르게 하며, 상기 수광 수단은 상기 적어도 3개의 포토디텍터가 대략 동일 평면상에 설치되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 광픽업 장치.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 편광 홀로그램은 회절 격자 간격이 거친 회절 격자 형상의 편광 홀로그램 패턴이 형성된 영역과, 회절 격자 간격이 세밀한 회절 격자 형상의 편광 홀로그램 패턴이 형성된 영역에 상기 광학 디스크의 직경 방향에 따른 분할선으로 분할되어 있고, 상기 수광 수단은 상기 선광 수단의 상기 좌측 선광판을 통과해 상기 편광 홀로그램의 한쪽의 편광 홀로그램 패턴이 형성된 영역에 의해 광로가 구부려진 반사광의 +1차 회절광 성분과 -1차 회절광 성분을 수광하는 각 포토디텍터와, 상기 선광 수단의 상기 우측 선광판을 통과해 상기 편광 홀로그램의 다른쪽의 편광 홀로그램 패턴이 형성된 영역에 의해 광로가 구부려진 반사광의 +1차 회절광 성분과 -1차 회절광 성분을 수광하는 각 포토디텍터를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광픽업 장치.
  8. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 편광 홀로그램은 중심각을 90°로 한 4개의 영역으로 분할되어, 상기 선광 수단을 통과한 반사광을 서로 다른 4개의 방향으로 구부리어 출사되도록 편광 홀로그램 패턴이 형성되어 있고, 상기 수광 수단은 상기 선광 수단을 통과한 상기 광학 디스크로 부터의 반사광의 상기 편광 홀로그램에 의한 0차 회절 성분을 수광하는 포토디텍터와, 상기 편광 홀로그램에 의해 4개의 축방향으로 구부려진 반사광을 수광하는 4개의 포토디텍터로 구성된 것을 특징으로 하는 광픽업 장치.
  9. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 편광 홀로그램, 상기 선광 수단 및 상기 대물렌즈는 상기 수광 수단으로부터의 검출신호에 의거하여 서보 제어되는 가동 유닛으로서 일체적으로 형성되며, 상기 레이저 광원 및 상기 수광 수단은 상기 가동 유닛에 대응하는 레이저 모듈로서 일체적으로 구성되어 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 광픽업 장치.
  10. 레이저 광을 출사하는 레이저 광원과, 상기 레이저 광원으로부터의 출사광을 광학 디스크에 조사하는 대물렌즈와, 상기 레이저 광원과 상기 대물렌즈 사이에 배치되어 광축을 중심으로 상기 광학 디스크의 직경 방향을 따른 분할선으로 2 분할된 우측 선광판과 좌측 선광판으로 구성된 선광 수단과, 상기 레이저 광원과 상기 선광 수단 사이에 배치되어, 상기 레이저 광원으로부터의 출사광은 광로를 구부리지 않고 그대로 투과시키며, 상기 광학 디스크에 조사된 출사광의 반사광은 편광 방향을 따른 광로를 구부리어 출사하는 편광 홀로그램과, 상기 편광 홀로그램을 거쳐 입사되는 상기 광학 디스크로부터의 반사광을 수광해, 그 수광 광량에 따른 신호 레벨의 검출 신호를 출력하는 수광 수단을 구비하고, 상기 편광 홀로그램, 상기 선광 수단 및 상기 대물렌즈가 상기 수광 수단으로부터의 검출 신호에 의거하여 서보 제어되는 가동 유닛으로서 일체적으로 구성되고, 상기 레이저 광원 및 상기 수광 수단은 상기 가동 유닛에 대응하는 레이저 모듈로서 일체적으로 구성된 광픽업 장치와, 상기 광학 디스크를 회전시키는 디스크 회전 구동 수단과, 상기 픽업 장치의 상기 수광 수단으로부터의 검출 신호에 의거하여 상기 가동 유닛을 제어하는 서보 제어 수단을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 광학 디스크 드라이브 장치.
