Abstract

본 발명은 핫멜트(hot melt) 접착제의 코팅방법에 관한 것으로, 표면에 점착성이 없는 핫멜트 접착제의 코팅 방법에 있어서, a) 핫멜트 접착제를 적합한 다이 오리피스를 통하여 압출하고, b) 압출된 접착제 표면에 용융필름을 형성하는 저분자량의 폴리머 또는 조합된 폴리머재료로서, 접착제 조성물과 재용융되었을 때 접착제 조성물의 특성을 손상시키지 않도록 선정된 재료를 스프레이하고, c) 코팅된 접착제의 표면을 필름형성폴리머를 재용융시키기에 충분한 온도 및 시간으로 가열하여 접착제를 용융시키지는 않을 정도의 연속된 코팅을 형성하고, d) 이러한 코팅된 접착제를 취급하기에 적합한 온도로 냉각시키는 단계로 이루어진다.

Claims (5)

  1. 표면에 점착성이 없는 핫멜트(hot melt) 접착제의 코팅방법에 있어서, a) 핫멜트 접착제를 적합한 다이오리피스를 통하여 압출하고, b) 압출된 접착제 표면에 용융 필름을 형성하는 저분자량의 폴리머 또는 조합된 폴리머재료로서, 접착제 조성물과 재용융되었을 때 접착제 조성물의 특성을 손산시키지 않도록 선정된 재료를 스프레이하고, c) 코팅된 접착제의 표면을 필름형성폴리머를 재용융시키기에 충분한 온도 및 시간으로 가열하여 접착제를 용융시키지는 않을 정도의 연속된 코팅을 형성하고, d) 이러한 코팅된 접착제를 취급하기에 적합한 온도로 냉각시키는 단계로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 핫멜트 접착제의 코팅방법.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 필름형성재료는 분해된 선형 저밀도 폴리에틸렌, 8~28%의 비닐 아세테이트를 함유하는 멜트 인덱스가 높은 에틸렌 비닐 아세테이트 코폴리머, 및 에틸렌 이소-부틸렌 코폴리머로 이루어지는 군에서 선정되는 것을 특징으로 하는 핫멜트 접착제의 코팅방법.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 필름형성재료는 A-B-A 블록 코폴리머, 멜트 인덱스가 낮은 에틸렌 비닐 아세테이트 코폴리머, 및 분자량이 높고 멜트 인덱스가 낮은 폴리에틸렌 및 폴리아미드로 이루어지는 군에서 선정되고, 폴리머는 또한 코팅점도를 낮추고 코팅의 장벽기능을 향상시키는 역할을 하는 점착성 수지, 왁스, 가소제 및 비점착성 시약과 조합하는 것을 특징으로 하는 핫멜트 접착제의 코팅방법.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 필름형성재료는 0.5~10 밀의 두께로 코팅되도록 충분한 양으로 스프레이에 의하여 도포하는 것을 특징으로 하는 핫멜트 접착제의 코팅방법.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 가열단계는 350~500℉의 온도에서 1~10초 동안 플래시(flash) 가열에 의하여 행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 핫멜트 접착제의 코팅방법.
