Abstract

소성실리카 미립자의 표면에 비닐계 실란 커플링제를 통하여 형성된 단층구조 또는 복수층 구조로부터 이룬 가교수지 피막을 가지는 가교수지 피복 실리카 미립자.
본 발명의 가교수지 피복 실리카 미립자는, 초음파 진동을 이용하여 분산매 중에 분산시킨 경우에도 수지피막의 박리가 실질적으로 일어나지 않고, 액정 표시장치용의 스페이서로서 사용한 경우에는 액정셀 형성후에 이동하는 일이 실질적으로 없다.

Claims (10)

  1. 소성 실리카 미립자의 표면에 비닐계 실란 커플링제를 통하여 형성된 단층구조 또는 복수층 구조로 되는 가교수지 피막을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 가교수지 피복 실리카 미립자.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 평균입경이 0.6 내지 17㎛이며, 또한 그입도 분포의 변동 계수가 2% 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 가교수지 피복 실리카 미립자.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 소성 실리카 미림자가, 실리콘 알콕시드 또는 그의 부분 가수 분해물로 표면처리된 것임을 특징으로 하는 가교수지 피복 실리카 미립자.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 실리카 미립자의 표면에 형성된 가교수지 피막이, 단관능성 비닐단량체와 다관능성 비닐단량체와의 혼합물을 분산중합시킴으로써 수득되는 것임을 특징으로 하는 가교수지 피복 실리카 미립자.
  5. 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 실리카 미립자의 표면에 형성된 가교 수지 피막의 두께가 0.05 내지 1㎛인 것을 특징으로 하는 가교수지 피복 실리카 미립자.
  6. 제1항 내지 5항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 실리카 미립자의 표면에 형성된 가교수지 피막이, 가교수지 피복 실리카 미립자의 소정량을 분산매중에 습식분산시키기 위한 초음파 진동처리에 대하여 내구성을 갖는 것을 특징으로 하는 가교수지 피복 실리카 미립자.
  7. 소성 실리카 미립자를 비닐계 실란 커플링제로 표면 처리하여 실리카 미립자의 표면에 비닐기를 도입하는 공정(A) ; 및 극성 유기용매 중에서 분산 안정제 및 라디칼 중합 개시제의 존재하에 단관능성 비닐 단량체(M)와 다관능성 비닐 단량체(P)를 포함, P/M의 사입 몰비=0.5/99.5 내지 70/30몰%인 혼합물을 분산 중합시켜서, 표면 처리된 실리카 미립자의 표면에 가교수지 피막을 형성하는 공정(B)을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 가교수지 피복 실리카 미립자의 제조방법.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 소성 실리카 미립자를 비닐계 실란 커플링제로 표면처리를 하는 것과 동시 및/또는 그 전에 실리콘 알콕시드 또는 그의 부분 가수분해물과 반응시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 가교수지 피복 실리카 미립자의 제조방법.
  9. 제7항에 있어서, 소성 실리카 미립자의 평균 입경이 0.5 내지 15㎛이며, 또한 그의 변동계수가 2% 이하인 것을 특징으로 하는 가교수지 피복 실리카 미립자의 제조방법.
  10. 제7항 내지 9항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 방법에 의하여 제조한 가교수지 피복실리카 미립자를 극성 유기용매 중에서 분산 안정제 및 라디칼 중합 개시제의 존재하에, 단관능성 비닐 단량체(M)와 다관능성 비닐 단량체(P)를 함유, P/M의 사입몰비=0.5/99.5 내지 70/30인 혼합물을 분산 중합시켜서 가교수지 피막의 표면에 더하여 가교수지 피막을 형성시키는 공정(C)을 적어도 1회 실시하는 것을 특징으로 하는 복수층 구조의 가교수지 피복실리카 미립자의 제조방법.
