Abstract

본 발명은 액정 표시 장치의 기판을 러빙할 때 사용되는 러빙용 천 및 그 사용 방법에 관한 것으로서, 털의 길이를 다르게 형성한 러빙용 천을 사용하여 러빙함으로써 기판과 액정 분자 사이의 경사각을 여러 가지로 형성하여 시야각을 확대하는 러빙 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다.

액정 표시 장치의 시야각 개선을 위한 러빙 장치 및 그 사용 방법
본 내용은 요부공개 건이므로 전문내용을 수록하지 않았음
제3도는 본 발명에 따른 러빙 장치에서 러빙용 천의 털의 길이 분포를 나타낸 도면, 제4도는 본 발명에 따른 러빙 공정에서 형성될 수 있는 양 기판에서의 경사각의 분포를 나타낸 도면이다.

Claims (10)

  1. 털의 길이가 서로 다른 다수의 영역을 포함하는 액정 표시 장치의 러빙용 천.
  2. 제1항에서, 상기 털은 두 가지의 길이로 형성되어 있는 러빙용 천.
  3. 제1항 또는 2항에 있어서, 상기 털의 길이가 다른 영역이 번갈아 형성되어 있는 러빙용 천.
  4. 제3항에서, 상기 털의 길이가 다른 영역이 규칙적으로 반복되는 러빙용 천.
  5. 털의 길이가 서로 다른 다수의 영역을 가지는 러빙용 천을 포함하는 러빙 장치.
  6. 제5항에서, 상기 러빙용 천의 털은 두 가지의 길이로 형성되어 있는 러빙 장치.
  7. 제5항 또는 제6항에 있어서, 상기 러빙용 천에는 털의 길이가 다른 영역이 번갈아 형성되어 있는 러빙 장치.
  8. 제7항에서, 상기 러빙용 천의 털의 길이가 다른 영역이 규칙적으로 반복되는 러빙 장치.
  9. 액정 표시 장치용 기판을 올려놓을 수 있는 받침대와 러빙용 천이 감긴 롤러를 사용하여 액정 표시 장치용 기판을 러빙하는 방법에 있어서, 털의 길이가 서로 다른 다수의 영역을 포함하는 러빙용 천을 사용함을 특징으로 하는 러빙 방법.
  10. 제9항에서, 상기 한 영역의 폭이 상기 기판의 한 화소의 폭에 해당하도록 상기 받침대 및 상기 롤러를 구동함을 특징으로 하는 러빙 방법.
