Abstract

카메라(22)를 이용하여 입력된 이미지를 포착하는 시각 정보 시스템은, 프로세서(28)를 사용하여 이미지를 조정하고, 관찰자에 의해 관찰되는 실제 물체상에 처리된 이미지를 중첩하도록 광학기기(33)를 사용하여 처리된 이미지를 투영한다. 이러한 처리는 실시간에서 행해지기 때문에 관찰자가 이동하여 관찰각도를 변경하는 경우에는 관찰자는 실제 이미지 및 처리된 이미지 양자를 볼 수 있다. 표시된 이미지에서의 대상 부위는 강조되거나 또는 관찰자를 위한 그래픽 정보를 포함 할 수 있다.

Claims (21)

  1. 배경 정보를 전자 신호로 변환하여 상기 신호를 전달하기 위해 상기 배경을 모니터하는 카메라, 상기 카메라로부터 상기 신호르 수신하고, 상기 신호에 대한 이미지 처리 루틴을 실행하여 상기 배경에 대한 정보를 나타내는 처리된 신호를 발생시키는 프로세서, 상기 처리된 신호를 수신하여 상기 처리된 신호를 표시된 이미지로 변한하는 표시 장치를 구비함으로써, 관찰자는 상기 표시 장치를 통해 볼 수 있게 되고, 상기 배경 및 상기 표시된 이미지 양자를 볼 수 있도록 한 것을 특징으로 하는 이미징 시스템.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 표시된 이미지는 상기 관찰자의 정확한 상관 위치 관계로 상기 배경에 중첩되는 것을 특징으로 하는 이미징 시스템.
  3. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 표시된 이미지는 한쌍의 보호 안경의 렌즈상에 투영되는 것을 특징으로 하는 이미징 시스템.
  4. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 표시된 이미지는 페이스 실드 상에 투영되는 것을 특징으로 하는 이미징 시스템.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 표시장치가 공간 광 변조기를 구비함으로써, 상기 관찰자가 상기 공간광 변조기를 통해 볼 수 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 이미징 시스템.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 표시 장치는 디지탈 마이크로미러 장치를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이미징 시스템.
  7. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 표시 장치는 액정 표시 장치를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이미징 시스템.
  8. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 표시 장치는 부분적으로 은도금된 렌즈를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이미징 시스템.
  9. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 표시 장치는 상기 시스템윽 사용자의 머리 장착용인 것을 특징으로 하는 이미징 시스템.
  10. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 프로세서는 실시간에서 상기 이미지 처리 루틴을 실행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이미징 시스템.
  11. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 프로세서는 상기 배경의 움직임을 보상할 수 있도록 상기 배경의 특징을 추적하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이미징 시스템.
  12. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 프로세서와 교신하여 상기 프로세서가 상기 배경내의 상기 물체의 위치를 모니터 할 수 있게끔 상기 배경내의 물체에 부착된 위치 센서를 더 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이미징 시스템.
  13. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 프로세서와 교신하여 상기 프로세서가 상기 배경내의 상기 물체의 움직임을 보상할 수 있게끔 상기 배경내의 물체에 부착된 움직임 센서를 더 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이미징 시스템.
  14. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 프로세서와 교신하여 상기 프로세서가 상기 사용자의 움직임을 보상하게끔 상기 사용자에 부착된 위치 센서를 더 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 이미징 시스템.
  15. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 프로세서와 교신하여 상기 프로세서가 상기 사용자의 움직임을 보상하게끔 상기 사용자에 부착된 움직임 센서를 더 구비하는 것을 특징스로 하는 이미징 시스템.
  16. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 표시된 이미지는 상기 배경의 높은 온트라스트 화면인 것을 특징으로 하는 이미징 시스템.
  17. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 표시된 이미지는 상기 배경의 일부분이 위색태법9false-color representation)으로 표시된 것을 특징으로 하는 이미징 시스템.
  18. 배경을 계속적으로 모니터하여 상기 배경 정보를 전자 신호로 변환하는 카메라, 상기 전자 신호를 수신하고 상기 전자 신호에 대한 이미지 처리 루틴을 실행하여 처리된 비디오 신호를 출력하는 프로세서, 상기 물체의 위치에 관련한 정보를 상기 프로세서와 교류하기 위해 상기 배경내의 물체에 부착된 위치 센서, 사용자의 위치에 관련한 정보를 상기 프로세서와 교류하기 위해 상기 시스템의 사용자에 부착된 위치 센서, 상기 비디오 신호를 수신하여 상기 비디오 신호를 표시 이미지로 변환하기 위한 표시 장치를 구비함으로써, 관찰자가 상기 표시 장치를 통해 볼 수 있게 되고, 상기 배경위에 중첩된 표시 이미지를 볼 수 있게 한 것을 특징으로 하는 이미징 시스템.
  19. 카메라를 사용차여 물체로부터의 광을 전자신호로 변환하는 단계, 상기 물체의 위치를 추적하는 단계, 관찰자의 위치를 추적하는 단계, 상기 물체 및 상기 관찰자의 상대 위치를 보상하기 위해 상기 전자 신호를 처리하는 단계, 상기 처리된 전자신호를 이미지로 변환하는 단계, 상기 관찰자가 상기 물체상에 중첩된 상기 이미지를 볼 수 있도록 상기 이미지를 표시하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 물체 이미지 표시 방법.
  20. 제19항에 있어서, 위치 센서를 이용하여 상기 물체의 위치를 추적하는 것은 움직임 센서에 의해 상기 물체의 움직임을 추적하는 것으로 대체되는 것을 특징으로 하는 물체 이미지 표시 방법.
  21. 제19항에 있어서, 위치 센서를 이용하여 상기 관찰자의 위치를 추적하는 것은 움직임 센서에 의해 상기 관찰자의 움직임을 추적하는 것으로 대체되는 것을 특징으로 하는 물체 이미지 표시 방법.
