Abstract

본 발명은 MPEG2 비디오 부호기의 전송율을 제어하기 위한 비트 할당 방법에 관한 것으로, 단방향 예측 모드 영상을 구성하는 전체 매크로 블럭 중에서 인트라 모드로 결정되는 블럭이 반 이상인 경우에는 장면 전환이 발생한 것으로 간주하고 이를 감지한 신호를 출력하여 인트라 모드 영상에 할당되는 비트량 만큼을 장면 정환이 발생한 단방향 예측 모드 영상에 할당하여 부호화시킴으로써 화질 저하를방지하고, 장면 정환이 발생한 단방향 예측 모드 영상에 이어서 오는 인트라 모드 영사은 단방향 예측 모드에 해당되는 비트량만을 할당하여 단방향 예측 모드로 부호화시키도록 하는 방법에 관한 기술이다.

비디오 부호기의 전송율을 제어하기 위한 비트 할당 방법
본 내용은 요부공개 건이므로 전문내용을 수록하지 않았음
제1도는 MPEG2 비디오 부호기를 도시한 블럭구성도.
제3도는 본 발명의 MPEG2 비디오 부호기에서 입력 영상열에 대한 부호화 모드를 도시한 상태도.
제4도는 본 발명의 비트 할당 방법을 도시한 플로우챠트.

Claims (2)

  1. 인트라(Intra)모드와 단방향 예측(Predicted)모드와 양방향 예측(Bidirectionally predicted)모드를 포함하는 비디오 부호기의 전송율을 제어하기 위한 비트할당 방법에 있어서, 인트라 모드와 단방향 예측 모드와 양방향 예측 모드 중에서 하나의 영상 모드를 선택하는 과정과, 인트라 모드 선택시는 장면 전환을 표시하는 신호가 출력되었는가는 판단한 후에 출력되지 않은 경우에는 인트라 모드에 해당하는 비트량을 할당하여 인트라 모드로 부호화하고, 장면 전환 표시 신호가 출력된 경우에는 단방향 예측 모드에 해당되는 비트량을 할당하고 나서 장면 전환 표시 신호를 다시 초기 상태로 바꾸어 준 후에 단방향 예측 모드로 영상 데이타를 부호화하는 과정과, 단방향 예측 모드 선택시는 일단 장면 전환이 있는가는검색한 다음에 장면 전환이 없는 경우는 단방향 예측 모드에 해당되는 비트량을 할당하여 단방향 예측 모드로 영상 데이타를 부호화하고, 장면전환이 발생한 경우에는 장면 전환표시 신호가 출력되어 인트라 모드에 할당되는 비트량과 유사한 비트량을 할당하여 단방향 예측 모드로 영상 데이타를 부호화하는 과정과, 양방향 예측 모드 선택시는 양방향 예측 모드에 해당되는 비트량을 할당하여 양방향 예측 모드로 영상 데이타를 부호화하는 과정으로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 비트 할당 방법.
  2. 한 영상 내에 인트라 모드로 결정되는 매크로 블럭의 갯수가 한 영상을 구성하는 전체 매크로 블럭 갯수의 절반 이상이 되면 장면전환이 발생한 것으로 간주하여 장면 전환표시 신호를 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 비트 할당 방법.
