Abstract

〈목적〉 기록 밀도를 향상시킨다.
〈구성〉 디지탈 데이타를 부호화하여 기록 재생하는 경우에 있어서 얻어지는 에러율운, 최대 10-8내지 10-10으로 할필요가 있다. 이 에러율을 실현하려면은, S/N비가 약 22dB이면 된다. 이 S/N비는, 연속하는 0의 최소의 개수 d를 크게하면, 보다 큰 값을 필요로 한다. 광 디스크 장치에 있어서 실현할 수 있는 S/N비는 약 32±3dB이므로, 그것에 대응하는 d의 값은 3내지 7의 범위가 된다.

제1도는 본 발명의 부호화 방식을 적용하는 광디스크 장치의 한 실시예의 구성을 도시하는 블록도.
제2도는 에러율과 S/N비의 관계를 설명하는 그래프.
제3도는 d와 임펄스 응답의 관계를 설명하는 도면.
제4도는 S/N비와 d의 관계를 설명하는 그래프.

Claims (3)

  1. 정보 기록 매체에 정보를 기록 재생하기 위해 디지탈 데이타를 가변 길이 부호(d,k;m,n;r)로 부호화하는 부호화 방식에 있어서, 에러율과 S/N비와의 관계에서, 희망하는 에러율을 얻는데에 필요한 최저한의 S/N비를 결정하고, 상기 S/N비의 상기 d의 변화에 대한 관계를 구하며, 상기 S/N비와 상기 d의 관계로부터, 상기 기록 재생계에 있어서 실현할 수가 있는 S/N비에 대응하는 상기 d를 결정하는 것을 특징으로 하는 부호화 방식.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 가변길이 부호의 d는 3이상, 또한, 7이하이며, 최소 반전 간격 Tmin는 1.7보다 크고, 또한 2.5보다 적고, 검출 윈도우 폭 TW은 0.32보다 크고, 또한 0.45보다 적은 것을 특징으로 하는 부호화 방식.
  3. 제1항 또는 2항에 있어서, 상기 정보 기록 매체는 광디스크, 광자기디스크, 자기디스크 및 자기테이프중의 어느 하나인 것을 특징으로 하는 부호화 방식.
