Abstract

〔목적〕
블록 마다에 액티비티를 클라스 분할하여, 이 액티비티 클라스에 대응한 양자화를 실행하는 것이 가능하다.
〔구성〕
DCT에서 발생한 교류분의 계수 데이타가 액티비티 검출회로(8)에 제공된다. 1블록의 데이타 게수중에서, 엣지 정보가 있을 때 발생하는 에어리어를 제거하여 비교적 고감의 계수 데이타가 절대값 TH1와 비교된다. 1블록마다 절대값 TH1 이상의 계수 데이타의 갯수 NH가 카운터(27)에서 계수된다. 그 계수값 NH이 비교회로(29. 30, 31)에서 각각의 절대값 TH3, TH4, TH5와 비교되며, 그 비교 결과가 로직(33)에 제공되며, 블록(33)에서 액티비티 클라스를 표시하는 코드 AT가 발생한다. 그 액티비티 클라스에 대응하여 양자화 스텝의 조가 설정되며, 액티비티가 높으면 양자화가 거칠어지며, 이것이 낮으면 양자화는 섬세하다.

Claims (5)

  1. 디지탈 화상 신호를 직교 변환 및 가변장부호로 부호화하고 상기 부호화 출력을 전송하도록한 디지탈 화상 신호 전송 장치에 있어서, 상기 디지탈 화상 신호를 소정의 블록 구조에 변환하기 위한 블록화 수단과, 상기 블록화 수단과 결합되고 상기 디지탈 화상 신호 블록마다 직교 변환을 행하기 위한 직교 변환 수단과 상기 직교 변환 수단으로부터의 교류분 데이타가 공급되고 상기 블록마다 액티비티를 검출하는 수단으로서 상기 교류분 데이타의 비교적 고역의 복수 데이타의 절대값을 복수 문턱값과 비교하므로써 액티비티를 클라스 분할하는 수단과, 상기 직교 교환 수단으로부터의 데이타를 양자화하기 위한 수단과, 상기 양자화 수단과 결합되고 상기 액티비티 클라스에 적응하여 양자화스텝을 제어하기 위한 제어 수단과, 상기 양자화수단 출력이 공급되는 가변상 부호화 수단으로된 디지탈 화상 신호 전송 장치.
  2. 디지탈 화상 신호를 직교 변환 및 가변장부호로 부호화하고 상기 부호화 출력을 전송하도록한 디지탈 화상 신호 전송 장치에 있어서, 상기 디지탈 화상 신호를 소정의 블록 구조로 변환하기 위한 블록화 수단과, 상기 블록화 수단과 결합되고 상기 디지탈 화상 신호 블록마다 직교 변환을 하기 위한 직교 변환 수단과, 상기 직교 변환 수단으로부터의 교류분 데이타가 공급되고 상기 블록마다 액티비티를 검출하는 수단으로서 상기 교류분 데이타의 비교적 고역의 복수 데이타의 절대값을 복수 문턱 값과 비교하므로써 액티비티를 클라스 나눔하고 또한 모든 상기 교류분 데이타의 절대값과 상기 복수의 문턱값 보다도 충분히 큰 문턱값을 비교하여 상기 큰 문턱값을 초과하는 것은 가장 액티비티가 높은 클라스로 하기 위한 수단과. 소정 기간 데이타량이 소정값 이하가 되도록 상기 직교 변환 수단으로부터의 데이타량을 양자화하기 위한 수단과, 상기 양자화수단과 결합되고 상기 액티비티 클라스에 적응하여 양자화 스텝을 제어하기 위한 제어 수단과, 상기 양자화 수단 출력이 공급되는 가변상부호화 수단으로 된 디지탈 화상 신호 전송 장치.
  3. 제1항 또는 2항에 있어서, 상기 양자화 수단은 양자화 스텝폭이 서로 다른 복수의 양자화 스텝에서 상기 제어 수단으로 선택된 것으로 상기 직교 변환 수단 출력을 양자화하고 상기 액티비티 클라스에 응답하여 상기 양자화 스텝이 변경되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디지탈 화상 신호 전송 장치.
  4. 제1항 또는 2항에 있어서, 상기 제어 수단은 상기 직교 변환 수단의 각 출력의 블록 배열 위치에 따라 상기 양자화 스텝을 변경하는 에어리어 제어를 하고, 또 색신호에 관하여 상기 액티비티 클라스에 응답하여 상기 에이리어 제어가 변경되는 것을 특징으로 하는 디지탈 화상 신호 전송 장치
