Abstract

본 발명은 직교 변환해서 얻어진 직교변환계수에 의해, 시각적 영향도를 검출한다.
그 영향도에 따라서, 화질열화가 눈에 띄기 쉬운 블록에는, 보다 많은 부호량을, 잘 눈에 띄지 않는 블록에는 보다 적은 부호량을 할당하도록, 양자화스텝폭을 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 직교변환부호화장치이다.

본 내용은 요부공개 건이므로 전문내용을 수록하지 않았음
제1도는 본 발명의 제1실시예에 있어서의 직교변환부호화장치의 구성을 표시한 블록도,
제2도는 본 발명의 실시예에 있어서의 직교변환부호화장치의 동작을 설명하기 위한 블록의 계수의 배열을 표시한 신호의 배열도,
제3도는 본 발명의 실시예에 있어서의 직교변환부호화장치의 동작을 설명하기 위한 변환계수의 절대치의 분포도.

Claims (9)

  1. 영상신호를 직교변환해서 부호화하는 직교변환부호화장치이며, 블록화된 영상신호를 직교변환하는 직교변환수단과, 상기 직교변환수단으로부터 얻어지는 변환계수를 부호화하기 위한 계수배열로 바꿔 배열하는 주사수단과, 상기 주사수단과 평행해서 상기 변화계수의 시각적 영향도를 검출하는 양자화제어수단과, 상기 양자화제어수단으로부터 얻어지는 제어신호에 의해 상기 주사수단으로부터 얻어지는 변환계수를 양자화 및 부호화하는 부호화 수단을 구비하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 직교변환부호화장치.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 양자화제어수단은, 직교변환된 블록마다 상기 변환계수의 직류성분의 진폭치를 소정치보다 큰 경우 및 소정치보다 작은 경우에 시각적 영향도가 낮은 제어신호를 출력하고, 부호화수단은 상기 양자화제어수단으로부터 얻어지는 제어신호가 시각적 영향도가 낮은 것을 표시하는 경우에, 양자화스텝폭이 커지도록 상기 변환계수를 양자화 및 부호화 하는 것을 특징으로 하는 직교변환부호화장치.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 양자화제어수단은, 입력된 블록이 휘도 신호의 경우에만 제어신호를 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 직교변환부호화장치.
  4. 제2항에 있어서, 상기 양자화제어수단은, 입력된 블록이 색 신호의 경우에 동일한 화면 위치를 구성하는 휘도신호의 블록에 있어서의 제어신호를 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 직교변환부호화장치.
  5. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 양자화제어수단은 직교변환된 블록마다 상기 변환계수가 저역에서부터 고역으로 넓어지는 분포패턴을 검출하였을 경우에 시각적 영향도가 높은 제어신호를 출력하고, 부호화수단은 상기 양자화제어회로로부터 얻어지는 제어신호가 시각적 영향도가 높은 것을 표시하는 경우에, 양자화스텝폭이 작아지도록 상기 변환계수를 양자화 및 부호화하는 것을 특징으로 하는 직교변환부호화장치.
  6. 제1항에 있어서, 상기 양자화제어수단은, 직교변환된 블록마다 상기 변환계수가 저역에 집중하고, 또한 진폭이 큰 분포패턴을 검출한 경우에 시각적 영향도가 낮은 제어신호를 출력하고, 부호화수단은 상기 양자화제어회로로부터 얻어지는 제어신호가 시각적 영향도가 낮은 것을 표시하는 경우에, 양자화스텝폭이 커지도록 상기 변환계수를 양자화 및 부호화하는 것을 특징으로 하는 직교변환부호화장치.
  7. 영상신호를 직교변환하는 직교변환부호화장치이며, 블록화된 영상신호를 직교변환하는 직교변환 수단과, 상기 직교변환수단으로부터 얻어지는 변환계수를 부호화하기 위한 계수배열로 바꿔 배열하는 주사수단과, 상기 직교변환수단과 병행해서 입력블록의 시각적 영향도를 검출하는, 양자화제어수단과, 상기 양자화검출수단으로부터 얻어지는 제어신호에 의해 상기 주사수단으로부터 얻어지는 변환계수를 양자화 및 부호화하는 부호화수단을 구비하고 있는 것을 특징으로 하는 직교변환부호화장치.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 상기 양자화제어수단은, 직교변환되는 블록마다 그 블록 내에 화상의 에지가 존재하는 신호 진폭패턴을 검출하였을 경우에 시각적 영향도가 높은 제어신호를 출력하고, 부호화수단은, 상기 양자화제어수단으로부터 얻어지는 제어신호가 시각적 영향도가 높은 것을 표시하는 경우에, 양자화스텝폭이 작아지도록 상기 변환계수를 양자화 및 부호화하는 것을 특징으로 하는 직교변환부호화장치.
  9. 제1항 및 제7항에 있어서, 상기 부호화수단은 복수의 블록을 하나의 단위로서, 1개의 양자화스텝폭을 결정하고, 상기 양자화제어수단의 출력의 제어신호에 의해 상기 양자화스텝폭에 대해서 상대적으로 스텝폭의 증감을 행하는 것을 특징으로 하는 직교변환부호화장치.
