제10도 및 제11도는 실시예의 방편으로서만 주어진 것이며 각각 본 발명의 액정 장치 및 케르 셀을 도식적으로 나타낸 것이다.
Claims (57)
- 일반식(Ⅰ)의 액정 화합물.상기식에서, A, D 및 G는 독립적으로 페닐, 티오펜, 수소화 페닐, 염소화 페닐 및 불화 페닐로부터 선택되고, B 및 E는 독립적으로 단일 결합, C≡C, C=O, COO, 아족시 및 디아조로부터 선택되고, n 및 m은 m+n이 1또는 2가 되도록 독립적으로 1 및 0으로 부터 선택되고, R1및 R2는 독립적으로 R, RO, 알키닐, 티오알킬, 수소, CN, NCS 및 SCN으로부터 선택되며, 단 R1및 R2중의 하나 이상은 CN, NCS 및 SCN으로부터 선택되고, A, D 및 G중의 하나 이상은 페닐이며, R1및 R2중의 하나 이상의 독립적으로 CN으로서 선택되고 A, D 및 G중의 하나가 티오펜이 아닌 경우와 m이 0이고 A 및 D가 페닐이고 B가 단일결합이며 R1또는 R2중의 하나만이 NCS인 경우는 제외된다.
- 제1항에 있어서, m이 0인 화합물.
- 제1항에 있어서, R2가 알킬, 알콕시, 알키닐 및 티오알킬로부터 선택되는 화합물.
- 제3항에 있어서, 탄소원자수가 1 내지 15인 화합물.
