Abstract
본 발명은 전기광학장치에서의 계조표시에 있어서, 디지털신호에 의해 제어할 수 있고, 소자간의 특성차이에 의한 편차의 영향을 쉽게 받지않고, 또한 고계조도를 달성할 수 있는 계조표시방식에 관한 것으로, 액티브 매트릭스형 전기광학장치에 있어서, 각 화소전극에 인가되는 전압펄스의시간 및 전압의 크기를 디지털 제어하는 것에 의해, 화상의 1프레임 중에 복수의 전압치와 펄스폭으로 이루어진 복합펄스에 의해 형성되어, 화상의 1프레임에 있어서 평균실효 전압을 임의의 값으로 하여, 결과적으로 액정에 중간적인 색조를 표현시키는 표시방식으로, 극히 계조도가 높은 화상을 얻을 수 있는 전기광학장치의 표시방법이다.

Claims (1)
- 액티브 매트릭스 구조를 갖는 전기광학장치에 있어서, 각 화소에 인가되는 전압펄스가 다단계의 파고 및 지속시간을 갖는 복수의 펄스로 이루어진 점을 특징으로 하는 전기광학장치의 화상표시방법.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개하는 것임.
