Claims (13)
- 강유전성 액정 요소들의 행들 및 열들로 된 매트릭스로 구성되는 디스플레이를 시분할 다중 모드로 구동하는 방법으로서, 진폭 VB및 펄스폭 2ts의 귀선소거 전압 펄스(41)에 뒤이어 n×ts(∵n은 정수)의 지연후에 진폭 VW, 폭 ts및 상기 귀선 소거 전압 펄스에 대해 극성이 반대인 기록 전압펄스(43)가 2ts의 간격으로 연속 행들에 인가되며, 0을 포함하는 범위로 부터 선택된 진폭│VD│이며 각각 펄스폭 ts인 쌍곡자 데이타 펄스쌍들(49, 50;52, 53)이 열의 어드레스 라인들에 인가됨으로써 상기 데이타 펄스들은 i번째 행에 대한 귀선소거 펄스, 및 n의 홀수값들에 대해 i-(n+1)/2행 그리고 n의 짝수값들에 대해 i-(n+2)/2행에 인가된 기록 펄스와 일치하는, 상기 디스플레이 구동방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, n이 홀수인 디스플레이 구동방법.
- 제2항에 있어서, n이 1부터 9까지의 홀수인 디스플레이구동 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, n이 짝수인 디스플레이 구동방법.
- 제4항에 있어서, n이 0부터 10까지의 짝수인 디스플레이 구동방법.
- 전항들중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 귀선소거 펄스(41)및 상기 기록 펄스(43)의 극성들이 디스플레이의 교대하는 작동 프레임들에 대해 바뀌는, 디스플레이 구동방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 크기 VG의 오프셋 dc전압이 VG=(2VB-VW)/N(∵N은 행들의 수)이 되도록 상기 귀선소거 및 기록 펄스들과 더불어 인가되는, 디스플레이 구동방법.
- 전항들중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 상기 데이타, 귀선소거 및 기록펄스들(49, 50;52, 53;41, 43)의 진폭 VD, VB및 VW는 그레이 레벨 없이 바이레벨 디스플레이에 사용되도록 4VD=2VB=VW의 상태로 각각 관련되는, 디스플레이 구동방법.
- 제1항 내지 제7항중 어느 한 항에 있어서, VD가 변함으로써 다양한 그레이 셰이드(shade)가 얻어지는, 디스플레이 구동방법.
- 전항들중 어느 한 항의 방법에 의해 작동되는 강유전성 액정 디스플레이.
- 강유전성 액정 요소들의 행들 및 열들로 된 매트릭스로 구성되는 디스플레이를 시분할 다중 모드로 구동하는 장치로서, 2ts의 간격으로 상기 요소들의 연속 행들에, 진폭 VB및 펄스 폭 2ts의 귀선소거 전압 펄스(41)를 인가하고 n×ts(∵n은 정수)의 지연후에, 진폭 VW, 폭 ts및 상기 귀선소거 전압펄스에 대해 극성이 반대인 기록전압 펄스(43)를 인가하는 수단과, 0을 포함하는 범위로 부터 선택된 진폭 │VD│이며 각각 펄스폭 ts인 쌍극자 데이타 펄스 쌍들(49, 50, 52, 53)을 열 어드레스 라인들에 인가함으로써 상기 데이타 펄스들은 i번째 행에 대한 귀선소거 펄스, 및 n의 홀수값들에대해 i-(n+1)/2행 그리고 n의 짝수값들에 대해 i-(n+2)/2행에 인가된 귀선소거 펄스와 일치하게 하는 수단을 포함하는, 상기 디스플레이 구동장치.
- 제11항에 있어서, 크기 VG의 오프셋 dc전압을 VG=(2VB-VW)/N(∵N은 행들의 수)가 되도록 상기 귀선소거 및 기록 펄스들과 더불어 상기 i번째 행에 인가하는 수단을 포함하는 디스플레이 구동장치.
- 제11항에 있어서, 상기 귀선소거 펄스 및 상기 기록펄스를 인가하는 수단은 디스플레이의 교대하는 작동 프레임들에 대해 상기 펄스들의 극성을 바꾸도록 작동하는, 디스플레이 구동장치.※ 참고사항 : 최초출원 내용에 의하여 공개되는 것임.
