Claims (14)

  1. (i)알콜-포착제(scavenging agent)와 알콜의 반응에 효과적인 조건하에, 알킬메타크릴레이트 단량체와 알콜로 구성되는 출발물질을 알루미늄 히드로카르빌, 붕소히드로카르빌, 수소화알루미늄, 수소화붕소 및 그들의 혼합물로 구성되는 군중에서 선택된 알콜-포착제, 알킬 메타크릴레이트 단량체 몰을 기준으로 0.1 내지 1.4몰%와 접촉시켜 알킬 메타크릴레이트 단량체, 임의 잔류 알콜 포착제 및 반응 부산물로 구성되는 혼합물을 생성시키고; (ⅱ)음이온 중합 조건하에 상기 혼합물을 음이온 중합 개시제와 접촉시켜 폴리(알킬 메타크릴레이트)를 생성시키는 것으로 구성되는, 1.20 내지 1.01의 분자량 분포를 가진 폴리(알킬 메타크릴레이트)의 제조 방법.
  2. 제 1 항에 있어서, 알콜 포착제가 알킬 메타크릴레이트 단량체의 몰을 기준으로 0.1 내지 0.8몰% 범위내 양으로 존재하는 알루미늄 알킬인 방법.
  3. 제 2 항에 있어서, 알루미늄 알킬이 알킬 메타크릴레이트 단량체의 몰을 기준으로 0.1 내지 0.5몰% 범위내 양으로 존재하는 방법.
  4. 제 1 항에 있어서, 알콜 포착 화합물이 알킬 보란인 방법.
  5. 제 4 항에 있어서, 알콜 포착제량이 단량체 기준으로 0.5내지 1.2몰%인 방법.
  6. 제 5 항에 있어서, 알콜 포착제량이 존재하는 단량체를 기준으로 0.7내지 0.9몰%인 방법.
  7. 제 1 항에 있어서, 알콜포착제가 트리에틸 보란인 방법.
  8. 제 1 항에 있어서, 알콜 포착제가 트리에틸 알루미늄인 방법.
  9. 제 1 항에 있어서, 알킬 메타크릴레이트가 분지 또는 비분지 C1-C18알킬 메타크릴레이트, C2-C18알케닐 메타크릴레이트, C5-C18알카디에닐 메타크릴레이트, C4-C18디알킬아미노알킬 메타크릴레이트, 및 C₃C12알콕시알킬 메타크릴레이트로 구성되는 군중에서 선택된 방법.
  10. 제 9 항에 있어서, 알킬 메타크릴레이트가 분지 또는 비분지 C;1-C18알킬 메타크릴레이트로 구성되는 군중에서 선택된 방법.
  11. 제 1 항에 있어서, 알킬 메타크릴레이트가 이소부틸 메타크릴레이트 및 t-부틸 메타크릴레이트로 구성되는 군중에서 선택된 방법.
  12. 제 1 항에 있어서, 음이온 중합용 개시제로서 리튬화합물이, 1,1-디페닐헥실(리튬);친전자 치환체가 없는 아릴 치환제를 제공하는 하기 일반식의 임의의 1,1-디아릴-치환 에틸렌;
    (상기식에서, R1=알킬, R2=H 또는 알킬, R3=H 또는 알킬, 및 Ar=아릴)과 임의의 알킬 리튬, n-, sec-, tert-의 부가물; 디이소프로필아미도 리튬; R₂및 R₃가 비-친전자성인 부가물;
    을 부여하는 2,5 및 6위치에 비치환된 임의 피리딘;
    과 임의의 이차 또는 삼차 알킬 리튬(R₁Li)의 부가물; 치환체 제한이 상기한 바와같은 일반식;
    의 쿠밀 및 쿠밀-형 리튬 화합물로 구성되는 군중에서 선택된 방법.
  13. 제 12 항에 있어서, 개시제로서 디페닐헥실-, 쿠밀-, 및 디이소프로필아미도-리튬 화합물이 사용된 방법.
  14. 제 1 항에 있어서, 생성된 폴리(알킬 메타크릴레이트)의 분자량 분포가 약 1.01 내지 약 1.10의 범위 내인 방법.
