도 34는 동일한 환자에서 치료받지 않은 대측성 관골의 총 관골의 골밀도 (BMD)에 대하여 본 발명의 특정 실시양태에 따라 치료한 환자의 치료된 관골에서 와드 삼각부 영역의 BMD가 개선된 것을 평균 백분율로 나타내는 최대 2년에 걸친 과정의 데이타를 제공하는 그래프이다.
Claims (18)
- 골감소증 및 골다공증으로 구성되는 군으로부터 선택되는 골 퇴행 상태를 겪고 있는 환자의 치료 방법에 사용하기 위한 골 재생용 조성물로서, 황산 칼슘, 인산칼슘, 탈염 골 매트릭스(DBM), 또는 이들의 조합을 포함하며, TGF-β 아이소형(isoform)을 포함하지 않고,
상기 치료 방법은, 원상 골(intact bone)의 국소 영역에 공동(void)을 형성하고, 형성된 공동을 골 재생용 조성물로 완전히 또는 부분적으로 충전하여 새로운, 퇴행되지 않은 골 물질이 공동 내에 형성되도록 하는 것을 포함하는 것이며,
형성된 공동으로 충전될 때 유동성인, 골 재생용 조성물. - 제1항에 있어서, 골유도성 (osteoinductive) 물질, 골전도성 (osteoconductive) 물질, 골형성 (osteogenic) 물질, 골촉진성 (osteopromotive) 물질, 항-골다공증성 (anti-osteoporotic) 물질 또는 골친화성 (osteophilic) 물질을 포함하는 것인 골 재생용 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서, 황산칼슘을 포함하는 것인 골 재생용 조성물.
- 제3항에 있어서, 인산칼슘을 추가로 포함하는 것인 골 재생용 조성물.
- 제4항에 있어서, 트리칼슘 포스페이트 과립을 추가로 포함하는 것인 골 재생용 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서, 생체내 (in vivo) 다상 (multi-phasic) 재흡수 시간 경과 프로필을 나타내는 물질을 포함하는 것인 골 재생용 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서, 생체내 2상 (bi-phasic) 재흡수 시간 경과 프로필을 나타내는 물질을 포함하는 것인 골 재생용 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서, 생체내 3상 (tri-phasic) 재흡수 시간 경과 프로필을 나타내는 물질을 포함하는 것인 골 재생용 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서, 공동 형성을 위한 골이 관골, 대퇴골, 척추골, 요골, 척골, 상완골, 경골 및 비골로 구성되는 군으로부터 선택되는 것인 골 재생용 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서, 생체내에서 굳어지는 것인 골 재생용 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서, 새로 형성된 퇴행되지 않은 골 물질이 정상의 골의 골밀도 (bone mineral density; BMD)를 갖는 것인 골 재생용 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서, 형성된 공동에 인접한 골의 영역에서 정상인 BMD의 새로운 골 물질이 형성되도록 하는 골 재생용 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서, 골의 국소 영역에서의 BMD가 증가하여 새로 형성된 퇴행되지 않은 골 물질에 대해 이중 에너지 X-선 흡광분석법 (DEXA)에 의해 측정된 T-스코어가 공동 형성 전의 퇴행성 골 물질의 T-스코어보다 큰 것인 골 재생용 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서, 트리칼슘 포스페이트 및 칼슘 포스페이트 일수화물을 포함하는 것인 골 재생용 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서, α-트리칼슘 포스페이트 또는 β-트리칼슘 포스페이트 또는 이들의 혼합물을 포함하는 것인 골 재생용 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서, 황산칼슘 반수화물(CSH), 모노칼슘 포스페이트 일수화물(MCPM) 분말, β-트리칼슘 포스페이트(β-TCP) 분말, 및 β-TCP 과립을 포함하는 것인 골 재생용 조성물.
- 제1항에 있어서, 골 재생용 조성물은 미립자 조성물로부터 형성되고, 상기 미립자 조성물은
i) 미립자 조성물의 총 중량을 기준으로, 50 중량% 이상의 농도의 황산칼슘 반수화물 분말, 및
ii) 수용액의 존재 하에 반응하여 브루사이트를 형성할 수 있는 두 가지 인산칼슘 분말의 조합
을 포함하는 것인, 골 재생용 조성물. - 제1항에 있어서, 제1 생체내 재흡수 속도를 특징으로 하는 황산칼슘 이수화물 상, 제1 생체내 재흡수 속도보다 느린 제2 생체내 재흡수 속도를 특징으로 하는 브루사이트 상, 및 제2 생체내 재흡수 속도보다 느린 제3 생체내 재흡수 속도를 특징으로 하는 β-트리칼슘 포스페이트 과립 상의 혼합물을 포함하는 것인, 골 재생용 조성물.
