Abstract

The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition of a formulation forming a transparent skin protective barrier. More specifically, the present invention relates to a cosmetic composition, which contains 0.01-1.0 wt% of a medical grade of atelocollagen relative to the total weight of the cosmetic composition to form a transparent skin protective barrier, thereby providing effects of moisturizing the skin and reducing dead skin cells. The cosmetic composition is suitable as a skin tonic (skin lotion) formulation due to low viscosity and light feeling on the skin.
