Abstract
Description
Claims (10)
- 그래픽 시스템을 컴퓨팅 장치 마더보드(motherboard)와 인터페이스(interface)하게 하는 커넥터(connector)로서,신호들을 마더보드로부터 필드 교체가능 카드(field-changeable card)로 라우팅하도록 구성된 복수의 커넥터 핀을 포함하며,상기 복수의 커넥터 핀 중 제1 커넥터 핀은, 각각이 상기 그래픽 시스템의 상이한 모드를 나타내는 적어도 2 레벨의 전압을 탐지하도록 구성되어, 상기 마더보드가 복수의 상이한 유형의 필드 교체가능 카드와 동작하도록 하는 커넥터.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 커넥터 핀에 의해 탐지된 고전압은 수동 루프-스루 카드(passive loop-through card)가 상기 커넥터에 인터페이스되어 있는 것을 나타내는 커넥터.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 커넥터는 저전압 차동 시그널링(low voltage differential signaling, LVDS) 신호가 상기 루프-스루 카드를 통해 드라이버로부터 LVDS 디스플레이 패널로 라우팅되게 하도록 구성된 커넥터.
- 제2항에 있어서,상기 커넥터는 디지털 비디오 인터페이스(DVI) 신호가 상기 루프-스루 카드를 통해 드라이버로부터 DVI 디스플레이 패널로 라우팅되게 하도록 구성된 커넥터.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 루프-스루 카드는 DVI 신호 상의 TMDS(transmission minimized differential signaling) 출력을 구동하는 TMDS 전송기를 포함하는 커넥터.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 커넥터 핀에 의해 탐지된 저전압은 능동 그래픽 카드(active graphics card)가 상기 커넥터와 인터페이스되어 있다는 것을 나타내는 커넥터.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 커넥터는 주변요소 인터페이스 익스프레스 신호(peripheral component interface express signal, PCI express signal)가 드라이버로부터 상기 능동 그래픽 카드로 라우팅되게 하도록 구성되고,상기 능동 그래픽 카드는 복수의 출력 디스플레이 신호를 생성하기 위해 상기 드라이버로부터 상기 PCI 익스프레스 신호를 수신하도록 구성되고,상기 능동 그래픽 카드는 저전압 차동 시그널링(LVDS), 디지털 비디오 인터페이스(DVI), 텔레비젼(TV) 및 비디오 그래픽 어레이(VGA) 신호를 생성하도록 더 구성되는 커넥터.
- 필드 교체가능 카드가 컴퓨팅 장치 마더보드와 인터페이스하게 하는 커넥터로서,신호들을 마더보드로부터 필드 교체가능 카드로 라우팅하도록 구성된 복수의 커넥터 핀을 포함하고,상기 필드 교체가능 카드는 상기 컴퓨팅 장치에서의 사용을 위한 렌더링 기능을 수행하는 회로를 가지며,상기 복수의 커넥터 핀 중 제1 커넥터 핀은, 각각이 상이한 그래픽 모드를 나타내는 적어도 2 레벨의 전압을 탐지하도록 구성되어, 상기 마더보드가 복수의 상이한 유형의 필드 교체가능 카드와 동작하도록 하는 커넥터.
- 제8항에 있어서,상기 필드 교체가능 카드는 그래픽 프로세싱 유닛을 포함하는 그래픽 카드인 커넥터.
- 제8항에 있어서,상기 필드 교체가능 카드는 오디오 칩을 포함하는 커넥터.
