Claims (4)
- 복수의 화상으로 구성되는 동화상을 예측 부호화하여 얻어진 화상 부호화 신호를 복호화하는 복호화 방법으로서,상기 화상 부호화 신호를 복호화하여 복호화 화상을 얻는 복호화 단계와,상기 복호화 화상이, 다른 화상을 예측 복호화할 때 참조되는 참조 화상인지, 혹은 참조되지 않는 비참조 화상인지를 판정하는 판정 단계와,상기 판정 단계에서, 상기 복호화 화상이 참조 화상이라고 판정된 경우에는, 상기 복호화 화상을 메모리에 저장하는 저장 단계를 갖고,상기 판정 단계에서, 상기 복호화 화상이 비참조 화상이라고 판정된 경우에는,상기 복호화 방법은,비참조 화상인 상기 복호화 화상이, 표시 순서에 따라 상기 메모리에 저장되어 있는 모든 복호화가 끝난 화상보다도 선행하여 표시 가능한지의 여부를 판정하고,비참조 화상인 상기 복호화 화상이, 상기 표시 순서에 따라 상기 메모리에 저장되어 있는 모든 복호화가 끝난 화상보다도 선행하여 표시 가능하지 않다고 판정된 경우에는, 상기 복호화 화상을 출력용의 화상으로서 출력하지 않고 상기 복호화 화상을 상기 메모리에 저장하는 것이며,비참조 화상인 상기 복호화 화상을 출력용의 화상으로서 출력하지 않고 상기 메모리에 저장할 때, 상기 메모리에 상기 복호화 화상을 저장할 수 있는 빈 용량이 없는 경우에는, 상기 메모리에 저장되어 있는 화상 중에서, 가장 빠른 표시 순서를 갖고, 또한 참조 화상으로서 사용되지 않는 화상을 제거함으로써 빈 용량을 확보한 후에, 비참조 화상인 상기 복호화 화상을 저장하는 것임을 특징으로 하는 복호화 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,비참조 화상인 상기 복호화 화상이, 상기 표시 순서에 따라 상기 메모리에 저장되어 있는 모든 복호화가 끝난 화상보다도 선행하여 표시 가능하다고 판정된 경우에는, 상기 복호화 화상을 출력용의 화상으로서 출력하고,비참조 화상인 상기 복호화 화상이, 상기 표시 순서에 따라 상기 메모리에 저장되어 있는 모든 복호화가 끝난 화상보다도 선행하여 표시 가능하지 않다고 판정된 경우에는, 상기 메모리에 저장되어 있는 적어도 하나의 화상을 출력용의 화상으로서 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 복호화 방법.
- 복수의 화상으로 구성되는 동화상을 예측 부호화하여 얻어진 화상 부호화 신호를 복호화하는 복호화 장치로서,상기 화상 부호화 신호를 복호화하여 복호화 화상을 얻는 복호화 수단과,상기 복호화 화상이, 다른 화상을 예측 복호화할 때 참조되는 참조 화상인지, 혹은 참조되지 않는 비참조 화상인지를 판정하는 판정 수단과,상기 판정 수단에서, 상기 복호화 화상이 참조 화상이라고 판정된 경우에는, 상기 복호화 화상을 메모리에 저장하는 저장 수단을 갖고,상기 판정 수단에서, 상기 복호화 화상이 비참조 화상이라고 판정된 경우에는,상기 복호화 장치는,비참조 화상인 상기 복호화 화상이, 표시 순서에 따라 상기 메모리에 저장되어 있는 모든 복호화가 끝난 화상보다도 선행하여 표시 가능한지의 여부를 판정하고,비참조 화상인 상기 복호화 화상이, 상기 표시 순서에 따라 상기 메모리에 저장되어 있는 모든 복호화가 끝난 화상보다도 선행하여 표시 가능하지 않다고 판정된 경우에는, 상기 복호화 화상을 출력용의 화상으로서 출력하지 않고 상기 복호화 화상을 상기 메모리에 저장하며,비참조 화상인 상기 복호화 화상을 출력용의 화상으로서 출력하지 않고 상기 메모리에 저장할 때, 상기 메모리에 상기 복호화 화상을 저장할 수 있는 빈 용량이 없는 경우에는, 상기 메모리에 저장되어 있는 화상 중에서, 가장 빠른 표시 순서를 갖고, 또한 참조 화상으로서 사용되지 않는 화상을 제거함으로써 빈 용량을 확보한 후에, 비참조 화상인 상기 복호화 화상을 저장하는 것을 특징으로 하는 복호화 장치.
- 제3항에 있어서,비참조 화상인 상기 복호화 화상이, 상기 표시 순서에 따라 상기 메모리에 저장되어 있는 모든 복호화가 끝난 화상보다도 선행하여 표시 가능하다고 판정된 경우에는, 상기 복호화 화상을 출력용의 화상으로서 출력하고,비참조 화상인 상기 복호화 화상이, 상기 표시 순서에 따라 상기 메모리에 저장되어 있는 모든 복호화가 끝난 화상보다도 선행하여 표시 가능하지 않다고 판정된 경우에는, 상기 메모리에 저장되어 있는 적어도 하나의 화상을 출력용의 화상으로서 출력하는 것을 특징으로 하는 복호화 장치.
