Claims (6)
- 한 쌍의 기판을 갖고, 한 쪽의 기판의 각 회소의 반사부에 설치된 셀 갭(cell gap) 조정용의 돌기부가 한 방향으로 뻗고 있는 ECB 모드의 액정을 이용하는 반투과형 액정 표시 장치에 있어서,액정의 주입구를, 상기 한 쪽의 기판에 형성되는 배향막의 배향 방향과 상기 한 방향으로 뻗는 돌기부가 교차하는 경우, 상기 액정의 주입구를 중심으로 그린 원호의 접선과 상기 돌기부를 구비하는 측의 배향막의 배향 방향이 직각으로 되는 일이 없는 위치, 또는 상기 원호의 접선과 상기 한 쪽의 기판의 배향막의 배향 방향이 직각으로 되는 상기 접선의 접점이 상기 기판의 단부로 되는 위치에 설치한 것을 특징으로 하는 ECB 모드의 액정을 이용하는 반투과형 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 돌기부가 컬러 필터(color filter) 기판의 반사부에 설치된 탑코트(topcoat)로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 ECB 모드의 액정을 이용하는 반투과형 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 돌기부가 매트릭스 기판측의 반사부에 설치된 층간막으로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 ECB 모드의 액정을 이용하는 반투과형 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 한 쪽의 기판의 배향막의 배향 방향이 상기 반투과형 액정 표시 장치의 경사 방향인 경우, 상기 액정의 주입구를 상기 배향막의 배향 방향과는 반대측인 주연 및 이 주연변과 교차하는 3 개의 각(角)부로부터 선택된 어느 하나에 설치한 것을 특징으로 하는 ECB 모드의 액정을 이용하는 반투과형 액정 표시 장치.
- 제1항 내지 제3항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 한 쪽의 기판의 배향막의 배향 방향이 상기 반투과형 액정 표시 장치의 세로 방향인 경우, 상기 액정의 주입구를 상기 배향막의 배향 방향과는 반대측인 주연 및 그 양 측의 주연과, 모든 각부로부터 선택된 어느 하나에 설치한 것을 특징으로 하는 ECB 모드의 액정을 이용하는 반투과형 액정 표시 장치.
- 한 쌍의 기판을 갖고, 한 쪽의 기판의 각 화소의 반사부에 설치된 셀 갭 조정용의 돌기부가 한 방향으로 뻗고 있는 ECB 모드의 액정을 이용하는 반투과형 액정 표시 장치에 있어서,액정의 주입구를, 상기 한 쪽의 기판에 형성되는 배향막의 배향 방향이 상기 한 방향으로 뻗는 돌기부와 평행으로 되도록 한 것을 특징으로 하는 ECB 모드의 액정을 이용하는 반투과형 액정 장치.
