Claims (5)
- 상부 및 하부기판;상기 상부기판 하부에 형성된 폴리이미드 배향막;상기 상부 및 하부기판 사이에 주입된 액정; 및상기 하부기판 상부에 메틸오렌지를 함유한 폴리스틸렌을 포함하며, 편극이 작은 고분자물질로 이루어지는 고분자 배향막을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자.
- 제 1 항에 있어서, 상기 편극이 작은 고분자 배향막은 1KHz 로 전기장을 걸어주었을 경우 유전율(ε)이 3x10-4 F/m인 폴리스틸렌으로 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정표시소자.
- 메틸오렌지를 함유한 폴리스틸렌을 포함하는 고분자 배향막을 형성하는 액정 배향방법에 있어서,상기 고분자 배향막은 편극이 낮은 고분자 박막으로 형성하는 단계; 및상기 고분자 박막으로 원편광된 광을 입사시켜 액정을 소정의 프리틸트각을 갖도록 경사 배향시키는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정배향방법.
- 제 3 항에 있어서, 상기 고분자 배향막을 형성하는 단계는고분자 폴리스틸렌을 NMP(N-Methyl-2-Pyrrolidone)과 디메칠 설폭사이드(Dimethyl Sulfoxide)를 2:1의 비율로 혼합한 용액에 녹이는 단계;상기 용액에 메틸 오렌지를 첨가하여 메틸 오렌지/폴리스틸렌 용액을 만드는 단계; 및상기 메틸 오렌지/폴리스틸렌 용액을 스핀-코터(Spin-Coater)를 사용하여 1000rpm으로 1분 동안 코팅하여 하부기판 상부에 메틸 오렌지/폴리스틸렌 박막을 형성하는 단계를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정배향방법.
- 제 3 항에 있어서, 상기 액정의 프리틸트각은 메틸 오렌지의 농도에 따라 변하는 것을 특징으로 하는 액정배향방법.
