Abstract
Description
Claims (15)
- 양단의 전압차가 소정의 전압 이상이면 발열하는 전압감응 발열 소자와, 온도에 따라 가역적으로 전류를 온/오프(on/off)하는 기능을 가지는 온도감응 소자를 구비하고, 상기 온도감응 소자가 전압감응 발열 소자에서 발생하는 열을 감지할 수 있도록 결합되어 있는 것이 특징인 접합 안전 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 전압감응 발열 소자 및 온도감응 소자는 가역적으로 작동하는 것이 특징인 접합 안전 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 온도감응 소자는 소정의 온도 이상에서 전류를 차단하는 것이 특징인 접합 안전 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 온도감응 소자는 PTC(positive temperature coefficient) 소자 또는 바이메탈인 것이 특징인 접합 안전 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 전압감응 발열 소자는 제너 다이오드 또는 바리스터인 것인 접합 안전 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 전압감응 발열 소자는 파괴(break down) 전압 이전에 열발생 구간이 존재하며, 상기 온도감응 소자는 상기 파괴 전압 이전의 전압에서 발생하는 열에 의해 작동하는 것이 특징인 접합 안전 소자.
- 제6항에 있어서, 상기 발열 소자의 파괴(breakdown) 전압은 발열 소자가 열 발생에 의해 온도감응 소자를 작동시키는 전압 보다 15%이상 높은 것이 특징인 접합 안전 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 전압감응 발열 소자가 열발생에 의해 온도감응 소자를 작동시키는 전압은 상기 접합 안전 소자가 사용될 전기 또는 전자 기구의 최대 규격 전압을 초과하고 전기 또는 전자 기구가 파괴되는 전압 이하인 것이 특징인 접합 안전 소자.
- 제3항에 있어서, 상기 전압감응 발열 소자는 병렬로 연결되고 온도감응 소자는 직렬로 연결되는 것이 특징인 접합 안전 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 전압감응 발열 소자와 온도감응 소자는 물리적으로 접촉된 것이 특징인 접합 안전 소자.
- 제1항에 있어서, 상기 전압감응 발열 소자는 전압감응 발열 소자가 열발생에 의해 온도감응 소자를 작동시키는 전압에서 상기 온도감응 소자의 동작 온도까지 발열하는 것이 특징인 접합 안전 소자.
- 제1항 내지 제11항 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 접합 안전 소자를 구비한 이차 전지로서,상기 접합 안전 소자는 양단의 전압차가 소정의 전압 이상이면 발열하는 전압감응 발열 소자와, 온도에 따라 가역적으로 전류를 온/오프(on/off)하는 기능을 가지는 온도감응 소자를 구비하고, 상기 온도감응 소자가 전압감응 발열 소자에서 발생하는 열을 감지할 수 있도록 결합되어 있으며,상기 전압감응 발열 소자는 전지의 양극 단자와 음극 단자 사이에 병렬로 연결되고, 상기 온도감응 소자는 전지의 양극 단자 또는 음극 단자에 직렬로 연결된 것이 특징인 이차 전지.
- 제12항에 있어서, 상기 온도감응 소자의 임계 온도(critical temperature)가 50 ℃ 이상 150 ℃ 미만인 것이 특징인 이차 전지.
- 제12항에 있어서, 전압감응 발열 소자가 열발생에 의해 온도감응 소자를 작동시키는 전압은 4V 내지 5V인 것이 특징인 이차 전지.
- 제12항에 있어서, 1시간동안 흐르는 전압감응 발열 소자의 누설전류(leak-current) 값이 사용하려는 전지용량값의 0.05% 미만인 것이 특징인 이차 전지.
