Claims (7)
- 화상 데이터를 표시하는 표시부와,화상 데이터의 계조수에 대응한 수의 계조 제어 펄스에 의해, 상기 표시부 내의 각 화소의 표시 상태를 제어하여 중간조 표시를 행하는 중간조 제어부와,원화상 데이터의 화소수를 n배하고, 또한, 계조수를 1/n로 한 의사 고해상도 화상 데이터를 생성하는 해상도 변환 수단과,상기 의사 고해상도 화상 데이터를 표시할 때에는, 상기 계조 제어 펄스수를 1/n로 변경하도록 상기 중간조 제어부를 제어하는 계조 제어 수단을 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화상 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항에 있어서,상기 해상도 변환 수단은, 1개의 화소를, 특정의 계조 레벨의 화소를 각각 1 ~ n개 포함하는 합계 n개의 화소 패턴 중 어느 하나로 변환하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화상 표시 장치.
- 제 2 항에 있어서,상기 해상도 변환 수단은, 1개의 화소를 세로 방향 및 가로 방향으로 각각 2배하여 종횡 각각 2화소로 이루어진 합계 4 화소의 4 종류의 화소 패턴으로 변환하고, 상기 4 종류의 화소 패턴은, 특정의 계조 레벨의 화소를 1개만 포함하는 제 1 화소 패턴과, 상기 특정의 계조 레벨의 화소를 2개 포함하는 제 2 화소 패턴과, 상기 특정의 계조 레벨의 화소를 3개 포함하는 제 3 화소 패턴과, 상기 특정의 계조 레벨의 화소를 4개 포함하는 제 4 화소 패턴을 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화상 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,상기 중간조 제어부는, 화상 데이터의 수에 대응한 수의 계조 제어 펄스를 생성하는 펄스 생성부와, 표시할 계조 레벨에 대응하는 수의 상기 계조 제어 펄스에 대응하는 기간만큼 상기 화소에 구동 전압을 인가하는 구동부를 구비하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화상 표시 장치.
- 제 1 항 내지 제 3 항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서,표시 영역 근처의 화소수 a 및 계조수 b를 갖는 저해상도 화상 데이터, 및 표시 영역 근처의 화소수 (a×n) 및 계조수 b를 갖는 고해상도 화상 데이터를 수신하는 수신부를 구비하고,상기 계조 제어 수단은, 상기 의사 고해상도 화상 데이터를 표시할 때에는상기 계조 제어 펄스수를 b/n로 설정하도록 상기 중간조 제어부를 제어하고, 상기 고해상도 화상 데이터를 표시할 때에는 상기 계조 제어 펄스수를 b로 설정하도록 상기 중간조 제어부를 제어하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화상 표시 장치.
- 화상 데이터를 표시하는 표시부를 구비하는 화상 표시 장치에 있어서 실행되는 화상 표시 방법에 있어서,원화상 데이터의 화소수를 n배하고, 또한, 계조수를 1/n로 한 의사 고해상도 화상 데이터를 생성하는 해상도 변환 공정과,표시할 화상 데이터의 계조수에 대응한 수의 계조 제어 펄스에 의해, 상기 표시부 내의 각 화소의 표시 상태를 제어하여 중간조 표시를 행하는 중간조 표시 공정을 갖되,상기 중간조 표시 공정은, 상기 의사 고해상도 화상 데이터를 표시할 때에는, 상기 계조 제어 펄스수를 1/n로 변경하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화상 표시 방법.
- 화상 데이터를 표시하는 표시부를 구비하는 화상 표시 장치에 있어서 실행되는 화상 표시 프로그램을 기록한 기록 매체에 있어서,원화상 데이터의 화소수를 n배하고, 또한, 계조수를 1/n로 한 의사 고해상도 화상 데이터를 생성하는 해상도 변환 단계와,표시할 화상 데이터의 계조수에 대응한 수의 계조 제어 펄스에 의해, 상기 표시부 내의 각 화소의 표시 상태를 제어하여 중간조 표시를 행하는 중간조 표시 단계를 갖되,상기 중간조 표시 단계는, 상기 의사 고해상도 화상 데이터를 표시할 때에는, 상기 계조 제어 펄스수를 1/n로 변경하는 것을 특징으로 하는 화상 표시 프로그램을 기록한 기록 매체.
